I submitted on 7/20, so I must have miss-counted by a day. My app got accepted on the 8/1, NICS weirdly enough went through on 7/30. Explanation for why is below.

A friend I took the class with was asking if my app got accepted because it was taking so long and then he emailed the instructor after a week to ask what was going on. Instructor said they were so busy they didn't have time to submit prints and would do so shortly after that conversation, then my app got accepted like a day or two later.

Weirdly my NICS processed before my acceptance according the app print out on my MDSP portal. I didn't get a notification for that either, it just shows up on the app print out.

Got my permit today.

And the first thing I did with it was to apply for a PA CCW permit via Adam County.

Also asked my wife if my holstered 45 made my butt look big.

Yes. If you get a September approval, you will maximize the length of your initial permit.

I was unable to make the zoom meeting with Pickel. Was there any mention if MSP plans to add more help with the current backlog of apps?

No one asked so we got no answer. He did say they have revived over 46000 apps since Bruen

There are over 52000 active permits in the system
