multiple gun safes vs mega safe?

I live on the second floor of an apartment building. One big safe isn't in my future.

      Ever Been to Sarco?

I used to go by regularly when I'd drive to various places further north. Just really great! I've bought ammo and an Argy FAL parts kit. I'd forgotten that they check drivers licenses for a bunch of things. They had a couple of Rhody painted FAL mags that they wouldn't let me buy because I had a...

Egotistical Instructor Making His Own W&C Qualifications???

I was a happy member at Izaak Walton in Damascus for ages. A new person took over running the pistol ranges who was a total di@k. I'd lived out of state for a while, but still paid the full membership to be able to go when I was visiting. While he was in charge they changed the visitor policy...

Tenn Gov Lee calls for special legislative session, wants red flag law

An interesting thing regarding these 'three' is they all voted "present but not voting" on the legislation that funded SROs for all schools, and money to harden them. I don't think any of them introduced any bills to affect guns until they had been reinducted to the Tennessee House, and...

      May need another .380

I can't believe i've gotten through 4 pages and no one mentioned the CZ 83. I gave one to my niece, and she likes it and shoots it well. It is a blowback design, so recoil is a bit more (it's still a .380) than a locked breech design. I've never handled one, but I agree with the concept of a S&W...

Inappropriate exchange with gun store owner while concealed carrying at his store?

In places that have more CC gun stores often have signs sayin something like, ‘if you are wearing a gun, keep it in your holster’. A reason workers in gun stores are armed is because they don’t want to get robbed. Guess what you look like when you pull your gun? I’d say his comment is just...

Washington Sports Teams Supporting Gun Ban group.

I think the evidence that the NBA and Nike are in the pockets of the Chinese CP is pretty overwhelming.

Trying to be removed from this group

This thread is one of the reasons I love being in this group...hilarious! A lot of knowledge about firearms too.

What FAL for a non-FAL enthusiast?

Be leary of the Century. I think there were a couple of other receivers that caused problems. The FAL files is a great forum for all things FAL. I have a couple of DSAs that have been decent. Reportedly their quality is up and down... likewise the magazines they make. I also have one from an...

Which cz should I get for my first gun?

I’d give a shout to United Gun Shop in Rockville too. They usually have a selection of CZs for those that live closer to there. A lot of people are recommending the SP-01 and I can’t dispute that. I would be a suitable ‘first’...there will be more. My first was a 75B. I’ve gone on since then.

      CZ Scorpion

They are awesome. There are many accessories you can get to make them 'more the way you want'. I changed the grip, the charging handle, the trigger and trigger-spring, and a really useful 'AK style' safety for the right side.

      FX-9 pistol

Do you mean a FNX-9? I have one and I like mine quite a lot. If you like DA/SA hammer fire guns they are very good. The ergonomics are excellent, and the safety works as a 'safety' if you move it upwards, or as a decocker if you move it downwards. This is pretty interesting and handy. There...

      On target in Severna park

I used to go regularly when I lived in Bethesda. As well as being very reasonably priced, the staff was always friendly. I never considered buying a gun there as their prices were a bit high. Sometimes your neighbor was a bit sketchy, but in general the other patrons were respectful.
