Your form 4 goes to the ATFE not MSP. Your FFL submits the form 4 first..then you wait 8 months to a year. Once your tax stamp comes back you complete the 77R with MSP then wait another 8 days then pick up your gun barring any hiccups.

Pre Oct. 1 Purchase. Daniel Defense MK18 10.3" barrel SBR.
Form 4 approved. 77R completed and approved despite not being on the handgun roster.
Took possession 6-11-14 with all paperwork approved.
Honestly I figured there would be another hiccup but everything came through.
Yes happy to post the outcome. Submitted yesterday. This was a pre-October 1 purchase so in "theory" they should approve it but in the wonderful state of Marylandistan one never knows. I'll know in a week
