Cooter's is at 102 Industry Lane in Forest Hill, MD. This is my favorite gun store. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are reasonable, stock is descent and constantly changing and he treats you with courtesy and respect.
I have 3 holsters that I use for different seasons/activities. My most versatile is a Kydex holster from OnYour6 designs. Simple inexpensive Kydex with Kydex clip (adjustable). Simple on/off and fairly comfortable. With Jeans I have a N82 Tactical Professional. A little bulkier but so...
I bought the FNS .40 on the Balto Co. bid just prior to the October 1 nonsense. Good gun..accurate and about the same size as a Glock 23. Slightly different rake angle than a Glock but lots of nice features. 3 mags included and good price. At first I liked the ambidextrous controls but after...
Your form 4 goes to the ATFE not MSP. Your FFL submits the form 4 first..then you wait 8 months to a year. Once your tax stamp comes back you complete the 77R with MSP then wait another 8 days then pick up your gun barring any hiccups.
Update:
Pre Oct. 1 Purchase. Daniel Defense MK18 10.3" barrel SBR.
Form 4 approved. 77R completed and approved despite not being on the handgun roster.
Took possession 6-11-14 with all paperwork approved.
Honestly I figured there would be another hiccup but everything came through.
Yes happy to post the outcome. Submitted yesterday. This was a pre-October 1 purchase so in "theory" they should approve it but in the wonderful state of Marylandistan one never knows. I'll know in a week
My form 1 was finally approved yesterday. Submitted 9/13/13 and approved 5/28/14. Paperwork was kicked back once because the "model number was incorrect". According to the ATF it's not a MK18 it should read "M4CARBINE". After a good laugh with my FFL we corrected them. Still have to do the...
I have the Lasermax in three of my Glocks, one of which is my carry weapon. They are solid and reliable and I've had no issues. Battery change every year or so but otherwise maintenance free and accurate.
I bought one of their Aimpoint look-alikes for one of my ARs and surprisingly it wasn't bad. It's not an Aimpoint T1 but it does a very nice job at 1/6 the price.
I use it in both an HK416 and an Advantage Arms .22 Glock conversion kit and absolutely 0 problems with this ammo ever. It's some of the most reliable stuff I've found.
