      I have never had a slamfire myself, but my rifle came with a photocopied article tucked into the manual describing slamfires...so I guess they are somewhat common with certain types of ammo.

      I haven't had any issues with any NATO M80 surplus, although I have not tried the Indian or African varieties. Federal White Box, Magtech/CBC, Radway Green and Prvi Partizan have all shot flawlessly through my M1A. Occassionally, I have used Federal Premium Gold Medal with no issues.

      Well, I need a new safe first because I can't squeeze one more thing in there. I do hope to get a HK P30 or nice 1911. But like the posted above, I will undoubtedly see something I want and just buy it on impulse.

      I recently completed a 7-8 page questionnaire from the Medstar group and it wasnt on their checklist, nor was I asked during my last routine physical in late 2013. Maybe it's driven by the presence of children in a household?

      Thanks guys, really appreciate the feedback. I have one AK, which was dead on right out of the box, so I never had to mess with it. I didn't even occur to me that the method was the same for both rifles. So, tool is ordered... hopefully that will fix the problem. I have the folder too...
