Boyd's Rapid Fire Stock Sale - Lots of Lefty Stocks

Is it a thumbhole stock? Back in 2016 they wouldn’t sell me one and when contacted they said thumbhole stocks are considered “Assault Weapons” in certain states and wouldn’t ship them to states with restrictions.

NRA warns is may "Shut Down"

I actually received that fundraising letter a week or so ago. To me it just seemed like standard fundraising gimmick. And considering others here didn’t get it, I have real doubts that they are in trouble Edit: thinking about it, what I got was even older. It came out around the last government...

      2019 Stupid Legislature Tricks

Most likely an additional charge if you get found with a gun without a serial number.

For those of you who thought redistricting would be our salvation...

If I recall correctly SCOTUS hasn’t ruled on NC it’s only been through federal courts which have ruled it unconstitutional. It still may make its way to SCOTUS next term. And SCOTUS didn’t just punt on MD, they also punted on the Wisconsin case which had to do with R’s drawing the map to limit...

Midwest Industries Free Float M-lok Handguard Question

Not that I could tell. If I was using the gun for competition I might use the adhesive. Just on the off chance that it could slip if it got caught on something. But for a range toy it seems like overkill considering you still torque it down at the torque plate.

Midwest Industries Free Float M-lok Handguard Question

It’s like a thread locker. Glues the hand guard to the barrel nut. I guess to keep the hand guard from shifting once installed. Most likely this stuff...

need help, trying to buy an Ar-9 Pistol

You like that last round bold hold upper? I went with a New Frontier Armory lower which looks identical to what you got from joe bob (just different roll marks). But I skipped on the last round bolt hold uppers because of price. It’s just a range toy so I don’t really mind but it’s tempting to...

USA Today - Ban assault weapons, buy them back, go after resisters

We tried that once. Didn't work out so well. Created a bunch of organized crime, disregard for the law by the citizens, and corrupt politicians. We've seen the same thing from the war on drugs. What I don't get is why the gun grabbers think that a ban on guns will have a different result when...

      NRA DALLAS 2018

I think the Republicans in Congress view gun owners as guaranteed republican voters. So whether Congress does anything for us or not, they know the vast majority of us will still vote for them. So they have no incentive to do anything.

What would we be willing to do?

You keep saying compromise. But the other side hasn't shown what they'll give us. Them letting us keep guns for now (but with more limitations, red tape, etc.) isn't exactly a compromise

What would we be willing to do?

Yup. Exactly what's being said about national reciprocity when it was included in the bill to "fix" NICS

What would we be willing to do?

But the other side doesn't give. That's what's been said in multiple threads on this same issue. Sure it be nice if they gave us something, just like it be nice if I won the lotto. But the odds of either happening are probably the same

      AWB 2018 and grandfathering

I'm pretty absolutist when it comes to rights. There better be a damn good reason for someone to have their rights denied. Keeping guns out of the hands of those making active threats, sure I'm ok with that. But I don't kid myself that it's not a form of gun control. It absolutely is. There's...

      AWB 2018 and grandfathering

Yeah it is. The very definition of gun control is controlling who owns guns.

      AWB 2018 and grandfathering

How about explaining what those standards are? And what process will exist to ensure that innocent people aren’t denied their rights and that rights can be restored. Because I have serious doubts about any system that can lock away people who aren’t charged with a crime
