Is it a thumbhole stock? Back in 2016 they wouldn’t sell me one and when contacted they said thumbhole stocks are considered “Assault Weapons” in certain states and wouldn’t ship them to states with restrictions.
I actually received that fundraising letter a week or so ago. To me it just seemed like standard fundraising gimmick. And considering others here didn’t get it, I have real doubts that they are in trouble
Edit: thinking about it, what I got was even older. It came out around the last government...
If I recall correctly SCOTUS hasn’t ruled on NC it’s only been through federal courts which have ruled it unconstitutional. It still may make its way to SCOTUS next term. And SCOTUS didn’t just punt on MD, they also punted on the Wisconsin case which had to do with R’s drawing the map to limit...
Not that I could tell. If I was using the gun for competition I might use the adhesive. Just on the off chance that it could slip if it got caught on something. But for a range toy it seems like overkill considering you still torque it down at the torque plate.
It’s like a thread locker. Glues the hand guard to the barrel nut. I guess to keep the hand guard from shifting once installed. Most likely this stuff...
You like that last round bold hold upper? I went with a New Frontier Armory lower which looks identical to what you got from joe bob (just different roll marks). But I skipped on the last round bolt hold uppers because of price. It’s just a range toy so I don’t really mind but it’s tempting to...
We tried that once. Didn't work out so well. Created a bunch of organized crime, disregard for the law by the citizens, and corrupt politicians. We've seen the same thing from the war on drugs.
What I don't get is why the gun grabbers think that a ban on guns will have a different result when...
I think the Republicans in Congress view gun owners as guaranteed republican voters. So whether Congress does anything for us or not, they know the vast majority of us will still vote for them. So they have no incentive to do anything.
You keep saying compromise. But the other side hasn't shown what they'll give us. Them letting us keep guns for now (but with more limitations, red tape, etc.) isn't exactly a compromise
But the other side doesn't give. That's what's been said in multiple threads on this same issue. Sure it be nice if they gave us something, just like it be nice if I won the lotto. But the odds of either happening are probably the same
I'm pretty absolutist when it comes to rights. There better be a damn good reason for someone to have their rights denied. Keeping guns out of the hands of those making active threats, sure I'm ok with that. But I don't kid myself that it's not a form of gun control. It absolutely is. There's...
How about explaining what those standards are? And what process will exist to ensure that innocent people aren’t denied their rights and that rights can be restored. Because I have serious doubts about any system that can lock away people who aren’t charged with a crime
No we don’t. Because “crazy” is an ill defined term. One man’s sane is another’s crazy. It’s been argued in other threads that they’ll just define whatever they want as crazy and use it to deny rights. Good first group to round up will be those that believe the 2A is supposed to be a check on...
If they determined that he wasn’t a threat (doubtful but who knows) then he should have been on the street. If they don’t have the evidence to arrest and charge someone I’m not willing to say “well just in case we’ll put them in an institution”. That path results in way to many innocent people...
No what I’m saying is people need to do some soul searching when it comes to taxes. People want all this stuff but seem to think it won’t cost anything. Guess what, it costs money. So if that’s what you want to advocate for then you better be willing to support a politician that will raise your...
And people reported that to FBI or local law enforcement. They then dropped the ball. So they should figure out how he fell through the cracks and what they need to fix to prevent it from happening again. That may mean change in leadership or hiring more staff. But that doesn’t mean we need some...
Yeah and prisons are overcrowded. Prisoners in some states are being released early because of overcrowding. So we clearly aren’t willing to pay for them. What makes you think that mental institutions will be different?
