Murder rate drops as concealed carry permits rise, study claims

When faced with the "blood in the streets" concern, I ask the person to name the states they can where CCW is legal. Their inability to do so usually helps to draw the conversation to a close. If someone were actually able to name them, the next question would be where is the blood in the...

      which eotech sight for AR-15?

I have googled and searched but can't seem to find a good synopsis of the eotech offerings and their differences -- even tried looking at their website and catalog without gaining much clarity. So...I'm turning to the people that have the best "knowledge in bulk", here. I would like to get...

      "Choose Civility" crap spreading...

Very well stated. Not so sure where the haters coming from on this thread. The only thing wrong with the "Choose Civility" movement is when it's touted by a hypocrite, like getting cut off in traffic and seeing it on the back bumper of the peckerhead. I attended a talk by the author, P.M...

      Glock 19 vs 17 and Glock 22 vs 23

19 and 23 are dimensionally exactly the same. The 23 is definitely snappier.....but it's not gonna break any body parts. If you shoot them one after the other you will definitely notice the difference. The nice thing is that if you own both, one holster will do the trick! I prefer the 23, only...

Where can I buy a new Sig 556 classic swat in MD?

Hello - not much luck trying to give my money away. I was hoping that I could order a sig 556 classic swat (realizing the supply/demand issues of late). The local dealer that I tried: A. Didn't know much (anything) about the variations of the sig 556 B. had no idea if they would ever see one in...

As a point of clarification, you can listen to the testimony online. It was streamed live, and is available for a short time archived on the Maryland general assembly website. I was in line to speak so I missed getting into the room -- did listen to the evening portion when I got home. If you...

Is front sight on rem 870 threaded?

I have an Remington 870 wingmaster classic trap 12 gauge. The barrel is original raised rib, with fixed choke. Are the front bead sights on these shotguns always threaded? I wanted to ask before I go twisting on the bead in an effort to replace it with a hi-viz sight. Thanks in advance! Jay

      Any IPs with Sig 556?

How did you select the swat version over the other flavors of the sig 556? I am looking at them, but not totally clear on the differences even after surfing the sig sauer website. Thanks.

Is there an AGC club that caters to shotguns and/or trap shooters

Out of the 29 or so clubs that make up the AGC organization, does anyone know if there is a club that focuses on shotgun shooting games - trap, skeet, sporting clays, etc.? Thinking about a new club when I renew my range badge. Thanks. Jay

What local shop has expertise (and inventory) focused on shotguns?

I am looking for someplace that can fit one of the grind to fit recoil pads for me. I can't get one of the preformed ones to fit my 870 wingmaster classic trap.
