Moving (maybe) to MD - source for gun laws?

Is working in MD and paying insane taxes, housing costs, and anti-2A laws really worth it to you? Do you have kids? Want them learning DEI and possibly anti American ideologies all while you serve America in your uniform? Lots more to think over besides what firearms you can bring here.

SB 1097 Likely rewritten to eliminate QHIC HQL Wear and Carry instructors

Here in SC we just became a constitutional carry state. Yea me. If you will want a CCW you can attend the 6 hour class that includes a range qualification. It was my understanding SC pretty much laid out the whole 6 hours and certified instructors teach it and then administer a quiz at the end...

Flying from FL to DC and then MD (loaded)

Ah, missed that little detail. Geez that was stupid. For awhile we lived on Capitol Hill. I was working there and wife was at GW lawschool. Stored all my firearms at my mom's place in MD. Well, not all of them. Kept a 1911 .45 at our place in the 200 block of E. Capitol and the wife was always...

Flying from FL to DC and then MD (loaded)

Drive. If you absolutely must take those firearms with you, it's not worth the risk flying into DC or having your firearm stolen from checked baggage when heading home.

SB 1097 Likely rewritten to eliminate QHIC HQL Wear and Carry instructors

SC just went constitutional carry. Some state's politicians trust their citizens others don't trust their subjects. The later likely fear their subjects for good reason.

SC on the verge of Constitutional Carry

In the older regs there are specific criteria for the size and placement of those signs. It's nothing new. Unlike MD they have the force of law and carrier does not first have to be asked to leave.

SC on the verge of Constitutional Carry

Because I use to live there and was active with MSI. Escaped to America last year. Still contribute to MSI because you guys still live in toxic Maryland, that place where corrupt politicians only give a crap about the criminal class who supports them. I like reading the court smackdown Mark...

SC on the verge of Constitutional Carry

SC is about to have constitutional carry with free training for those who want it. You guys need to move to America and breathe in some freedom. MD's toxic blue is clouding your brains.

SC on the verge of Constitutional Carry

A trained CCW holder will have been taught the laws that pertain to carrying as well as becoming more aware of the dynamics of a self defense decision when someone does use their firearm. Likely these two will reduce the possibility of prison. The other is moving out of a blue state to somewhere...

SC on the verge of Constitutional Carry

It's kinda hopeless trying to convince some people that state provided firearms training might be a good thing. For people who couldn't otherwise afford a basic pistol class (see my prior comments about people in my SC class who probably won't hit what they're aiming at under stress) to receive...

SC on the verge of Constitutional Carry

Firearms owners around the time of the constitution were, for the most part, accomplished shots. It went with how they used them. The framers knew those firearms were in the hands of people who knew what they were doing. But you keep on, pretend somehow a person buying a handgun for the first...

SC on the verge of Constitutional Carry

OK. I disagree as in I think anyone carrying should at the very least be able to keep their shots on a silhouette target at a nice, calm, take your time range. If you can't keep it on the paper there what happens under stress? I post a stupid, ill-informed opinion no innocent bystander dies...

SC on the verge of Constitutional Carry

Watching some of the students shoot got me edging to the side of training, maybe even a range qualification being required. The thought of what might happen when they needed to defend themselves for real makes me hope I won't be nearby. If the state provides it for free (well, from their taxes)...
