      The thumb studs aren't used as a stop bar so I don't see why they are needed in a flipper, I also am leary of Kershaw assisted opening (maybe mine was an isolated case) since my cryo broke (the torsion bar went hooey) after only two months use.

      Update on the Cryo: the torsion bar on my Cryo messed up and ruined the detent along with the assisted opening. It's a real shame, I liked a lot of things about this cool little knife, but I'm gonna have to caution people against getting it.

      I too have an interest in this rifle, unfortunately, due to expense/lack of knowledge/interest not many get it. However, from what I've read online and watched on youtube (sue me) it seems like a pretty spectacular rifle.

      I'm used to Aus8 as opposed to 8cr13mov, so far I think they're pretty much the same. As for 440c I don't really use any knives with it (I do have two "44o" steel knives, but I'm pretty sure they are of less quality than 440c.)
