I understand this.. but as I implied previously, I may have hired a more gun law knowledgeable lawyer... some of th things he said, and asked me pertaining to this.. led me to this conclusion.
Now, I have consulted w other lawyers, and they are not willing to get involved because of the 1st...
penalty was max 1 year... I did no jail time... and no one (MSP) has asked for my other handguns which are legally registered to me... the gun I had holstered, w no round chambered, was not used in a crime... just found to be in the vehicle upon a traffic stop.
I tried, apparently...
does this render me unable to buy guns in the "Free State" ?
I realize advice given is not actual legally written in stone...
I may have hired a better lawyer... he still says he can have the judges decision changed from "guilty" to "PBJ" ... under certain circumstances...
thank you
info
that was the case here... "holstered Glock" .. the fact it was a loaded mag,but not chambered is the crime..
and furthermore complicating the issue, was the fact that the "traffic offense" was suspected DUI .. another big no no..
another question here could be :is vehicle carry...
info
all good info.. please ad on !. ..links to MD.law are welcome
the gun held a loaded mag. but not a chambered round. No probation, or outstandings. He was Legally registered to the Glock .45.. he is also a buisinessman with RE, and automotive/cycle monetary transactions..
Lawyer is not...
an associate has been pulled over for a traffic violation, and has a holstered Glock in the glovebox. He goes to court, has the traffic violation nixxed, but is guilty on the wear/carry issue... His lawyer says the state's attorney is willing to have the judge change the "guilty" to a "PBJ" ...
yep, that's right, I said it ! and DAMN proud of it... SMIBs rule! I am here to learn more , before our rights are completely trampled upon...even the 2nd amendment ones.... Thanx for having me, and pardon my stupid questions about gun ownership. Anyone with input on "firearm inheritance" ...
