As an "independent instructor" couldn't you be working with many companies? Did you put on your application that you instruct for a specific company? Seems like a weird request. Funny, I was just thinking about this. Got my PA license last year. Filled out the app and mailed it in. Took less than a week for them to let me know it was approved. And, the date of the app can be different from the date you actually submitted it. My official app date was about a week after I actually submitted it, in person, at the barracks. I think it was the date the Trooper was assigned.- bsavoy

Are they specific regarding reasons for denial? I'm wondering if anyone's provided all doc's explicitly stated, been asked to provide more information (e.g. deposits, etc)- refused to provide them. Then, been denied and given a reason for denial such as "not providing requested documentation"- bsavoy
