I do agree it would be nice to pick your barrel lenght and other options you might desire.... but I dont think, from a business sense, there are enough sales for Ares to justify the extensive qty. of inventory required to satisfy that type of business model....
They cover that pretty well...
I do shoot with you all at the AGC, the last event I made it to was the October pumpkin shoot.
5k its expensive I know, but that gets you the FA bolt and a steel feed tray both are must haves...IMO
Ares will sell some parts to Marylanders.... with me it seems that I was an established customer pre all the gun legislation mess so maybe they realize im good for it or maybe actually calling them and speaking to Tracy, the lady in sales, is the way to go. Im not actually buying anything that...

Its a good scope if your happy with the price. I use a Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40mm with their 1" mark 2 intergral mount. I have been very happy with the results. When I bought that Leupold was just a few dollars more than the Nikon AR-15 package. Nikon does make good scopes.
As said above, it seems like everyone these days has their own opinion on barrels. I own two Blackhole Weaponry barrels and they are excellent no issues to report. The polygonal 1:8 rifling is great. I have a 7.5 inch and a 18 inch and they work. If you want it buy it. I also will say the staff...
I own an Adcor Bear elite. I have shot hundereds of round through it (nearing the 1000 mark) and I have recorded 1.5 - 2.5 MOA groups out to 350+ yards! I bought the complete gun. Was it worth it for what I paid complete HELL YES.
I understand people have their opinions about guns and parts...
Just got back. Lots of AR's there especially lowers, Engage armament's lower's are there and they look VERY VERY nice! Ammo is hit or miss I got some 22lr for 5cents a round! lots of independence 5.56 anywhere from $9 to $15.
Bottom line if you are thinking about getting a AR or AK before...
It would say prime it then duracoat it.. always worked for me with Aluminum 80%. I am curious what do you think of the EP lower I have been looking at buying one but I heard they need some hand fitting / sand etc in the magwell and mag catch area.... you think its worth the cash? Thanks
I have a Ares Defense Shrike 5.56 GEN 5 upper that is now married to a custom machined, by me, Aero precision lower. It also has a Slide Fire solutions bump stock on it. It is the most damn fun rifle/ money pit I own. Runs 100% belts or mags. If you can swing the cash by one.
