This is wrong. You can run a modified trigger in SSP as long as there are no externally visible modifications. Page 27 of the rulebook states:
I think you might have been thinking of GSSF, where you are correct that no non-Glock parts are allowed unless you're running in the Unlimited...
They're better than the stock sights and they even glow in the dark!
Seriously, they're not bad, but I don't like them anywhere near as much for competition shooting as I do the fiber.
While I respect your desire to buy local, just buy whatever sizes you're interested in on Amazon and take the ones you don't want back to the return center in College Park. Yes, it's a bit of a hike for you, but you can screw around with them in the privacy of your home for as long as you want...
Anyone have any much-loathed .45 ACP small primer pocket (SPP) you'd like to offload? I have a ton of 9mm, some .40, and an indeterminate quantity of LPP .45 ACP (as well as a few oddball stuff) and am open to negotiations.
I would be interested if 1) if you had a loaner available (I've been thinking about acquiring a rifle, but have only shot one a couple times and want a little more experience before pulling the trigger on the purchase) and 2) if we were going to finish up by 1700 or so (I gotta teach that night.)
Indoor: Silver Eagle Group in Ashburn, VA. 50-yard indoor range, allows holster draws and rapid fire, friendly, well-lit and -ventilated, array of rentals, decent pro shop, reasonably priced. Their hours are a little weird, though; it works for me because I go after work, but may not work for...
Thirding this. I order my bullets online and use filthy range pickup brass, but I would love to be able to get powder/primers locally. Right now I typically go down to Green Top, which is lovely but a bit of a hike. That's pretty much the only thing that would make me check you out in...
I like the Taran Tactical set. Black rear, fiber front. Comes with both green and red fiber. Fiber is very thin, which helps if you're going to be running it at 25 yards. Goes in and out of stock on a pretty regular basis, but I have three sets and would have bought a fourth if I didn't have...
Oh, no, that tended to be my problem--I didn't/don't hose them even though the ranges are relatively short. I don't have good adjustability for closer targets, so it takes me about an hour to aim at an open body at seven yards. Sorry, I wasn't clear.
But working on it!
They kicked me up...
To be clear, I wasn't bitching. I had a blast, pun intended and weather included. I just really want to know if anyone lost their shoes because my squad was wondering all day!
You will have trouble using a shot timer and getting accurate results at an indoor, public range. Double that if you're planning to use your phone as an app for it. So I would recommend focusing on accuracy. Unless you were thinking about just using fixed times, and then saying "time's up"...
Been working through loading a 4x4 (four different bullet weights with four different charges apiece, for ladders) with some SNS coated bullets in 9mm. Looking forward to getting this done so I can play with .40 major!
