I ordered some new wood grips for my MK9. I was really excited, until I tried to simply pop them on. I had to get out the most feared of gunsmithing tools and expand a cutout on the inside of each grip a little bit. It went pretty smoothly and I really like the grips much better than the hard plastic one. These are a little wider, but I think they'll give my hands a little more to hold on to. :)

Gorgeous. The MK9 is one of my favorites - don't have one yet (got the K9 first), but hope to soon. . . yours looks great.

By the way, I have the smooth wood grips on my K9, I think you made a good choice going with the stippled, as mine are a bit slippery.

The K9 looks great! I considered the smooth ones, but since the short grip is a little flippy when shooting I figured the checked would give a little more hold.

Also, your very beautiful new grips are a testament to your commendable self control with the dremel - I completely lost my head, sanded the Shi-ite out of mine and them stained them with india ink.
Fascinating experiment, that last part, but still - kudos to you!

Wow, nice looking wood grain. :) I like the checkering pattern. Kind of flows well with form of the gun.

I think I might have to take a look at Kahr's line up! :party29:
