Weaver V24 scope help.

Does anyone have one of these scopes, and has attempted to set the turrets? I’m trying to figure out how to get the turrets off to set them to zero. There aren’t any set screws on top, just a small “geared” cap that in guess you unscrew to loosen the turret, but I want to be sure before I start breaking shit.

Thanks for the reply, but the V series has a different set up with not top screw. I’ll get a pic up here shortly.

Have you tried lifting and rotating? A pick of the turret would be a big help.

Unscrew that geared cap and the dial will lift off.

Any advice on what to grab the gear with? I’ve tried by hand and it is super tight.

Mine came off with just my fingers, might try a piece of cloth and a set of small pliers.
