Legally, can someone with a W&C permit keep a pistol in a lockbox in his car 24/7?
So, why would you want to do this?

dunno if its a true stat but 50% of stolen guns are taken from cars. I cringe at ppl who do that when the building they're going into isnt firearm prohibited.
Considering the increased car thefts and window breaking all over the country and even in my own neighborhood in pompous bethesda i wouldn't even leave a shitty bersa in the car. The thought of it possibly being used on a fellow good person or me down the road is enough for me not to do it.
Whats the gun in the lockbox gonna do when you're pumping gas?
Did he, at least, get laid?
That he did!He definitely got f@cked
criminals love guys like this. A running car and a free gun...****I have seen a holstered gun sitting in the passenger seat of someone's car, engine running, as the guy runs into the store to buy coffee...
Some people are just dumb as rocks.
I get the OP's interest, I think. Like a truck gun. It would be convenient to have a loaded pistol in a fairly secure locked box inside my car 24/7...along with the usual car stuff, like jumper cables, fire extinguisher, cell phone charger, etc.So, why would you want to do this?
I guess I don’t really get the concept. If I want to have a gun with me, I’d be carrying. But to each their own.I get the OP's interest, I think. Like a truck gun. I might carry one on my person as well, but there would always be one in my car...just in case.
I dig it, in theory
What about an AR in the trunk?I guess I don’t really get the concept. If I want to have a gun with me, I’d be carrying. But to each their own.
I presume you carry a knife on your person, right? Don't you keep one in your car, too?I guess I don’t really get the concept. If I want to have a gun with me, I’d be carrying. But to each their own.
I wouldn't.It could lead to the sort of negligent complacency that causes so many people to accidently take loaded guns through TSA checkpoints.
Parking lots of Post Offices, Schools, VEIP Test Stations, Courthouses, Government offices
What else?
Otherwise, you seem to be saying a permit holder can't carry anywhere, or not enough places to matter.
And if Schrodinger has a locked box marked "cat," who knows what's in it?
