Have seen them, but $35ish is steep, and they add length like the pinkie extensions do. The Gee plate or the GAP I have used for glocks is still a flat base pad, but sticks out in the front to lock your 2 fingers into the grip, works better than pinkie extensions, and no added length for IWB or pocket carry. Can basically get 12rd mags and sleeves for my standard p365 and end up about the same length and grip size. IMO they are better on the XL, basically adds a base pad, no real increase in length, and 14rd vs 12 without going to the pretty long macro grip/mags. Have one of their kits for my Kahr PM9 and works well, but still kinda nervous about aftermarket parts in a defensive mag, more because of reliability than anything.
I have thousands of rounds through five different guns in .380 and 9mm. Never a hiccup. I wish other aftermarket parts were a reliable as Magguts.

That is good to know. Will get one for my XL, I like smaller mags and a shorter height, and +2 on the 12rd mags look awesome. I really only carry my standard P365 with flat base 10rd mags. Funny thing is the Sig 15rd mags actually leave a lot more hanging out of the grip than the new 17rd mags, although the 17rd macro mags are $60 or out of stock.

I'm not sure I'm in love with the macro grip. I might have mags, grip and holsters available lol

I was able to get 3 of the 17 rd ones. When I first got them, I could barely release the slide on an empty mag. I then loaded them up and had them sit a few days. I went to unload them and the followers got stuck where the magazine tapers down, like the first generation 2011 mags occasionally did. The springs felt very underpowered after that. The failure occurred on all of the mags so I think there may be either a design issue or I got a batch of defective springs. I am not willing to carry them yet.

Finally got some std capacity Macro mags, so I will convert my Spectre to a Macro this weekend and see how things work.

I like the +2 magguts on the std X mags, really no extension (okay, if you want to quibble about 1/8" lol) and give a much better feel to my big mitts on the X. The Macro should be a step up yet again, we'll see. I like the interchangeable backstraps, I need the large one to feel right.

I have a couple and so far no issues other than that 17th round is pretty tough to load until you run it a few times.

Dead front sight in first week. So 400 rnds of Federal American Eagle 124 gr 9mm in four days thru my brand new P365 with no problems. Until I get gun out for cleaning and discovered the front sight is dead. Either Tridium leaked out or vial fell out.

Is this still a common thing? I can send slide in for fix, but how long before new one fails? Is it better to buy different sights? Have Dawson on a few other guns and never a failure.

I changed out my sight on my original slide to a Truglo TFX pro fiber optic/ Tritium sight when I first got it as I feel they are a better sight. Now that I have an optic cut slide and a Holosun 407, I don't have any sights and feel it is the best option yet.

Sweet, will pick up a couple. Had the GAP flooplates for my G27 back before my P365 replaced it, basically same idea. Comfy grip, shorter, and more control than pinkie extensions, and great for ripping mags out if there is a double feed.
Exactly, I still have some GAP laying around.

Not especially common, but does happen. From what I've seen, this either happens right away, or doesn't happen. As you know, Sig will fix it for you. Turnaround is usually around a week.

Treat it as a learning experience. Plenty of non night sights out there. I do like the brass front sights.
He should shoot it and learn with it. It's unacceptable to say you couldn't defend your family member because you "Couldn't find the front sight because it wasn't glowing". But that's just me.

Well Blaster, At 62 and shooting handguns since the 1970’s I’m sure I could take a defensive shot at short distance without a glowing front sight but that’s not the issue. This Sig P365 is the 21st handgun purchase and none of the others with tridium have failed. That is the issue of my post.

The front sight failure has been ongoing since the release of the P365 and should have been resolved by now. That is the issue Blaster.
