Florida rejected my finger print card from fyi fngerprinting in ellicott city because they are not a law enforcement agency. Called mdsp, got my finger prints at cjis office at mva, mdsp no longer do finger print cards for public ( correct me if im wrong please ) sent 2nd card to pobox 6687, should be 6387, but it doesnt matter according to flse. We shall see

Will report status as it comes in.
On 8/30, Florida stated they put my finger prints into the system on 8/24. Prints delivered 8/22. Application complete. :)
On 8/31, "Your license was issued on 08/31/2022. Please allow up to 15 business days for your license to be printed and mailed.
On 9/8 received FL Permit. :):)
If no errors, from application to permit in hand would have taken 22 days if prints where delivered 4 days after online application

Law enforcement agencies to get finger prints on blue/white fbi cards

Dunno where you are, but Montgomery County residents can get printed at county police stations for ten bucks. You need to call to find out when they're available to do the printing. Just got mine done for FL at the station in White Oak.

Yup, FL sent me their cards on request, no charge. MoCo inked me for the prints.

UMBC did mine. Checking my progress, it looks like I missed something in my packet. I think it's likely that my passport photo had a gray background instead of white. I'll find out from a letter in the mail sometime this week what I need to fix.

Getting the cards directly from Florida is your best bet. They include the info you need on the front for their departments at the AG office. also need to make sure LEO agency name and address on back right corner and LEO signs front where labeled.

FBI 258 cards will work just include the info on the pdf.

Quick question for the FL app - are any of you submitting DD214 to cover the training requirement? If you are, how will you submit it? Do you have to snail mail a copy?

And yes, I know how to use an internet search - just thought I could ask the friendly people on the board what solutions they are using..

I printed out my application and mailed everything together using my MD class cert.

I am using my DD214 - I am training exempt in MD and FL.. So no class cert.
Then just replace class cert with DD214 copy. Since you have to mail the fingerprint card anyway, there's really no advantage to applying online vs. mailing everything in one envelope

Don't go to the college park campus. Someone told me 10 years ago to go there for fingerprinting. Once i got there and walked in asking about fingerprints, they all looked at me like i lost my damn mind.

That is exactly what I want to avoid.. Prefer not to send a printed copy of that..
