I just received a confusing letter from the MD Criminal Justice Information System Central Repository in Pikesville. It says that "MY" request for a criminal history record check didn't find anything.

Duh, I know that and I didn't request any check be done. Does anyone have any idea as to why this came about?

Yea, got the same letter. I guess it’s our hard copy letter describing results of the LiveScan. For the record?

I guess my word is not good enough.

Yes it is the confirmation that your prints were sent to the CJIS who will conduct a search of MD records and forward your prints to the FBI for a national records search. Those results are then sent to MSP

All prints for FBI go through CJIS. When you got printed that was your “request” for the search
