It takes MSP 90 days to process one. No one has a permit under the new law yet

Anyone’s whose application was pending before Bruen is getting cards under the new guidance. They are unrestricted regardless of submitted G&S. MSP is currently processing apps from early May.

Good. That’s what I was hoping to hear.

He does, and it's hilarious to see him spout incorrect information on that organization's FB page and then watch that organization come back and correct him. Has happened more than once.
It's fun to correct him on other FB pages as well.

Even bigger balls considering he said in his statement that he's always supported our 2nd amendment rights. LOL, yeah right. This just goes to show two things,
    1) He could've done this years ago when he got into office.
    2) The AG's office lied years back when they said the Governor couldn't do this.
It's about time although he should've done it the day after the SCOTUS decision and not waited.
One minor (big) correction with regards to #1, no, he could not change the actual law when he first got into office, or at any time after that, only the legislature can officially do that. What he did was follow SCOTUS jurisprudence with regards to G&S, which was declared Unconstitutional by SCOTUS.
With regards to #2, that had to do with directing the Secretary with regards to administrative over reach with regards to self defense/personal protection applications.

    2 completely different things.

Today is day 9 still waiting for “accepted” on my application submittal to have the employment restriction on my active permit removed and issue a new card. This should be a simple 1-minute rubber stamp event.

    .
to be fair it IS removed. MDSP issued guidance that all restrictions on the back were to be ignored. Meantime, carry around the advisory.

Yep. It’s solving a problem before it starts.

Let’s say you are in BF Arkansas - does Officer Jones know that Maryland’s restrictions are now null and void? I’m sure he’ll make the call, but he’ll detain you in the process.
Does he even understand that Maryland's restrictions end at the state line?

Where were you able to see where your application was in the pool?
I assume the number they gave me when I got my submission confirmation, minus the completed applications for 2022 shows where the pool I am. Other than that, I haven't checked.

Finally accepted after 13 days, I was actually beginning to think they missed mine. Updated in other thread.

Good deal, was yours an original app or a mod to a current license? I’m at Day 11 waiting for “accepted” of my modification application to have employment restriction removed and receive a replacement, clean card...

Original, I tried for one way back when but was shot down by the HPRB.

I used Personal Protection as justification, although it should make no difference at this point.

Has anyone with a current, valid MD permit submitted the $10 application to have a (employment, etc.) restriction removed and are now in “accepted” state on the MSP portal? If so, when did you submit and when was it accepted? Thanks
