"Sensitive" places restrictions on wear and carry currently that should not be.

I have a feeling that in the next MGA session we will see plagiarized language from CA and NY replicating the everywhere is sensitive mantra. MGA doesn't have a creative thought in its empty head, so they are going to steal that language word-for-word. Betcha a doughnut.

I carry open a large bowie style knife on a chest rig in the parks, it is not a weapon to me it is for survival if i need it . It is upside down on my rig.
That’s perfectly fine in maryland. Just don’t carry it concealed as that’s illegal in maryland.

“Dangerous weapons” are not banned in most of Maryland’s “sensitive areas”. Just firearms (maybe don’t carry it in to a school or court).

Do you have a hunting license? Coyote, groundhog, and nutria have very liberal regs.
You’ll still get hemmed up if camping. For example GSF does not allow firearms in your campsite unless unloaded or in a vehicle. There is no “hunting” in or from a campsite. So okay, sure, you could carry in camp. So long as it was unloaded or you left it in your vehicle for when you went “hunting” later. Also have to wear something blaze orange all the time since you now can’t hunt ground hogs without something blaze orange on.

An orange cap is sufficient last I checked. Yes, you still have to be aware of, and follow the law. But it is possible to be legally armed in some areas otherwise off limits.

    Edit: From the DNR regs,
    “Daylight fluorescent color clothing is
not required to hunt or trap furbearers.”

The bigger problem is what to do when fishing, or while in state parks where hunting is not allowed.

There are many places I fish that show signs of being party spots and/or drug use and the class of people filtering in near dusk really do warrant extra care.

There is that. The large state park I live almost next to only allows archery hunting for deer. No other hunting. And only in select parts of the park. Now, the people who people the park don’t particularly worry me, but there is no legal way to carry in what is about an 8,000 acre state park either.

The government is going to have a very difficult time explaining how 8000 acres are "sensitive".

I don’t have all the answers, just offering my opinion on some limited solutions. Until TPM is addressed you gotta dance to the music they are playing.
40+ years ago I remember being on small fishing boats on the Potomac, with my uncles having pistols. They would often shoot eels instead of bringing them in the boat alive. They were never concerned, and probably so, as they knew the Rangers and the Rangers knew them. I doubt anything would have happened, and most others we encountered were armed as well. I still always talk with the Rangers whenever I can. Hopefully we can eventually get back to those simpler times of being able to be prepared to defend ourselves. Not just our business or our cash.

They're going to try to turn maneuvering through the state into a giant game of hopscotch, intentionally frustrating the language and purpose of the 2A and Bruen.

    Horse ladies.

They are EXTREMELY sensitive. Just start any conversation with the word "fireworks" or "hunting" or "littering" and watch them melt down. Usually because they are anti for the first two and the last because they get tired of (rightfully) being accused of it (I watch horsefolk riding all the time in the parks and seen them MANY times just chuck wrappers from snacks to the side of the trail. Several fights with neighbors over it).

They're rightly concerned that we may inadvertently arm bears.

Adrienne Jones, MD House Speaker, has already said MGA will do everything they can between now and January...

    Great.

Between now and January they can eat shit & die. Or pound sand. Or bite me.
