Hogan should have done this years ago. On the other hand, maybe it was good that he didn't? As soon as he did it, the MGA with its democrat supermajority would have immediately codified a need for G&S. So it wouldn't have mattered. But because the MGA stayed out of it, more permits were issued under Hogan than anyone.

I don't know, playing devils advocate.

What is concerning me is how the MGA is going to react next session. I bet we get some NY style oppression.

Appears the MSP portal is broken, while I was on earlier checking on my application to remove current restriction, there are long delays in the portal responding now and none of my applications are shown, even those previously approved. Hopefully the MSP site just could not handle the traffic...

Well Mike Tyson said it best, "Everyone has a plan until I hit them in the mouth." I am sure Hogan got OK from Frosh who gave it begrudgingly.
I do like the responses so far from members here at MDS. I certainly would think it close to impossible to change this order from Hogan and the courts. I seen the post on my FB page and thought it important to post.

They could do some hijinx like NY and pretty much make it a hopscotch game through MD where you can carry but I think eventually there will be some smackdowns.

Seems to me that Thomas was thorough in pre-emptively squashing the expected delaying/infringing ploys.

A nice class action suit against the state on behalf of all the permit holders, with legal fees and damages, would appear to be a possible solution. Naming each representative as defendants for civil rights infringement might be a personal expense they'd care to forgo.

I agree. Just frustrated that it leaves me on sidelines because no way is my employer getting this deep into my personal affairs.

What do retirees do? What happens if you freelance or own your own business? What if you’re just a bum on the street?

Contacting an employer cannot possibly be a requirement.

Yeah, I agree with you. Doesn't mean they won't try anyway and hope they get some liberal judge to uphold it. They did in NY. The process to fight it could take years.

i posted a question elsewhere but how strict is the 72hr timeline for the fingerprints? I have mine being done at the MVA on Thursday and will not complete my 16hr class until Sunday. Which means mid afternoon Sunday would be 72 hours.
LiveScan fingerprints are good for 30 days...
