    Along with 'if you will' (WILL WHAT?), I don't like 'you do you', as that seems to me you're telling someone to 'go fvck yourself' as 'do' is vernacular for 'fvck'.

    I see what you mean… a good point to ponder. However, If you will… :innocent0 , Intent is the key to civil exchange. Delivery is usually the key to understanding intent.
    So,
    “You do you.” with a :mad54: face could be taken as “Go F yourself.

    “You do you.” with any other emotion displayed… is more likely to be taken as “Do as you see fit, choose, deem necessary, or other innocuously intended advice.
