Would be interesting to know exactly who they were.

I wish I took a pic. Fit and finish was nice. Didn’t care for the giant branding on the receiver. It was a Turkish name. The guy also had m2 clones in lots of colors. Never seen or heard of the company before.

I took my Turknelli out today and sent 100+ rounds down range with zero hiccups. I shot: 3" OO Buck, 3" slugs, 3" BB, 2.75" OO Buck, 2.75" slugs, 2.75" #4 Buck and even a box of Fed 2.75 #8 trap loads- low brass 1200fps. It ate everything.
The recoil was OK. Better than a pump, but more than my other semis: Browning A5 and Black Aces FD12 Bullpup. I would need to do a side to side, by my recollection is the actual Benelli m4 had less felt recoil.
These are well worth the sub $500 price tag.

Wait for guntubers to find it, then they’ll drive the price up.

The o-ring lasted about 5 minutes before splitting, I guess that’s pretty good.

ETA: I assume it doesn’t matter, it’s only job is to push against the pin and bolt so the pin doesn’t walk out.

The few YouTube videos I’ve seen seem to view them more akin to a PSA GF3 AK47 blem or PSA dagger than a Chinese AK47 or an Arex Rex. In other words, cheap gun that is cheap, not an underpriced gem.

I would agree. It does make me want a Benelli M4 though.
I don’t have enough experience with the firearm to make a call on which one it is, but I expect that in a few years, these M4 clones are going to be real irritating to Benelli. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the parent corp eventually start putting out something in the $1000 range via Stoeger. Or at least drop the price into the $1200-$1500 range for the real ones. $1500-$2000 for a real M4 is too rich for my blood, though it’ll be a lot easier to stomach after I get this one configured the way I want. If I found a good deal on a real M4, it would be easy enough to port the parts over.

If benelli rebranded one of the turk guns through stoeger it'd be amazing.

In case anyone was wondering, a real Benelli M4 bolt head assembly is a drop in fit.

I've always avoided buying Turkish clones not because of a lack of quality or anything like that but because who knows if the money is indirectly going to support terrorism. Turkey is well known for supporting extremist terrorists groups. Why assist in helping to fund them? Well that and they still refuse to acknowledge the Armenian genocide.

How long before Benelli stops selling parts to feed the clones?

Who is to say you arent buying parts for your M4? The patent expired so its no different than all the ARs, 1911’s and MP5 clones being manufactured.

I picked up mine from Tyler’s yesterday. The transfer went really well. I will use them again.

With the S4 everything looks good to me. There are no sharp edges, just a lot of oil over everything. I took apart and saw no metal shavings. It has the o-ring on the retaining pin.
I also picked up the Turkish made Dickinson tac4 that has a skeltonized stock. The stock at first looks like a adjustable m4 stock. This stock won’t adjust though. It’s a pump gun. I’ve determined that the stock from the tac4 could easily be adapted onto the S4. It would have the same length of pull as the original stock and doesn’t adjust. I would need to grind a little on the stock to allow clearance for the recoil tube but and get another bolt to hold the stock to the tube.
