I really love the trainers. They are cool and cheap to shoot. I have all 6 produced by the manufacturers during WWII. Top to bottom shown:
Reising M65
Remington M513-T
Winchester M75
Mossberg M44
Stevens M416-2-T

Pistol is a Hi Standard US Property marked
For those interested in Trainers Thomas D. Batha's book - U.S. Martial .22 RF Rifles is pretty good. Its out of print but not too hard to find.

Thanks Guys! These rifles are still reasonably priced averaging around $400 to $600. I like mine with a lot of wear so I know they were used. My Mossberg 44 was virtually brand new as many of them found today.

The 42MB are the most difficult to locate as many were supplied to the British. My example has British proof marks.

Ebay has some but they were expensive. There were a few on Gunbroker more reasonably priced. There is a pair being sold together and its at $25 right now.

God if I had to list what I had it would take a while. What's left in the bucket list is pretty esoteric (and expensive). The Remy 40X would be the most affordable of this bunch and that would cost you $1200 at minimum.

If I had to list what I consider to be the hardest to find trainer in my arsenal it would be the Polish Kbk.S.wz.31. You rarely run across them. That was one of the best finds in years and it was in my back yard no less. Go figure.

No. I much prefer to shoot my M101 Supermatic with 1950's Herters target grips. It is Very accurate and just an absolute pleasure to shoot. My favorite .22 pistol.

A friend here in VA who is an officer in the Virginia Gun Collectors Assn. has a US Krag-Jorgenson in 22 LR.
It's all 100% G.I. The conversion was done at Springfield about 1900.
