The Henry model will float long enough to retrieve it if it falls into the drink. If one seals the cap with electrical tape it should float indefinitely.BTW, the Henry version does not float, at least not for long.
That only fires one shot at a time and breaks down into two pieces with no place to store? I might go for a .22WMR if it fired more than one shot. Alas, it does not.You might not be done yet. I'd also consider a Savage 42
Oh, and I also have the Ruger breakdown model and a bunch of magazines for it. My wife would kill me if she knew!
Still, I love the Henry Survival Rifle. (I bought two of them.) They're a hoot to shoot. What's not to like? If they had a .22WMR model, I would have bought one. I'm a huge fan of the .22LR and I think it's a very underrated caliber.

Not sure what that is. Can you elaborate? What did Henry say? Are they going to make it right?Used it for the second time and the charging handle / pin fell out and was lost in the woods. Guess I will be on the phone to Henry on Monday.
