In the last couple of days I received a case of small rifle primers and some powder. Where do you go locally to purchase/pick up powder and primers. I’m in the Woodlawn, Baltimore County area.
Gun Shack in Mt. Airy usually carries primers and powder. Bass Pro also but I think their prices are rather high.
Green Top down near Richmond is great if you're taking 95 south sometime. Far for a pound of powder otherwise.
Sign up for a pile of email list as they will often have promos to cover the hazmat fee if you buy $x worth of stuff.
Or, find a bud or 2 to split the fees with on an order.
I appreciate the nearby location. I need to look into the Shydas. Second time I heard it mention while researching some topics. For a couple pounds of powder or 1k primers- Continental in Timonium or Clyde's in Halethorpe.
If you're buying in bulk, Shydas in Lebanon PA is worth the drive.
I’m thinking the Bass Pro Shop maybe my bypass with their order and pick up option at AA Mills Mall llocation. I’m curious if they are currently open now.Clydes still have primers? I have not been there in a while.
I work close to BassPro and if they don't have powder in stock, will ship to store. Same with 1000 bricks of primers cause what they have on the isles is over priced packs of 100.
If they have 1000 bricks, I've never waited at the gun counter to ask. Just shipped to store and picked up the next week.
I also go to Gunshack in MT Airy cause I get my Real Black powder there and will get other stuff I need at the time.
I guess I USED to get stuff at shows, but won't expect any shows until the fall or maybe 2021 now.
I was waiting to stock up on primers at the Oaks show that was cancelled so got stuck short this spring during my case prep time and had to barter and buy.

Wait for a free hazmat promo from the big online dealers and buy in bulk or order with a friend and split the cost. Buy components cheap and stack them deep

Clyde's stocks primers, yes. Powder also. What availability they might have right now though, is another question.

I think they are closed as the last time I went by the mall there were almost no cars there. I have 2 lbs of powder on ship to store and got a message there was a problem with delivery. I"m not in a rush for it though. Hopefully Larry will open things up next week. Got what I needed from Gun Shack last week. You need to call to make appt and knock and wait. They are limiting who goes in. Mask required.
Where is the Gun Shack located? I’m realizing from another thread here that I need some small magnum rifle primers.
Thanks. I emailed them and earlier inquiring about some primers. It seems it’s abut 30 minutes away.In downtown mt airy @

That’s a bit far that I prefer to travel to save the HazMat fee but I appreciate the resource.Depending on where you live, give Hafers some consideration too. They are located one exit past 81 on 70 (west of Hagerstown)

Tim and Becca run a great business and generally have a wide range of components available. Becca’s father runs the reloading area and is a great resource.
