I doubt anyone would charged for that. However, it leaves only a subjective standard between a citizen and a felony. That’s not the sort of thing I would bet my freedom upon.
The language is fuzzy enough that a group of re-enactment participants could sue the state to force them to clarify the law.
Re-enactments are not innocent or historically interesting to Dems though. They hate to be reminded of their past sins. They hate to be reminded that Republican President Abraham Lincoln made them give up their slaves.
