Was there any talk of somehow grandfathering 80% lowers provided that they are serialized and registered?

Is there a way to go back and watch testimony on specific bills?

Cardin asked the NRA rep if the NRA would support some mechanism that allowed 80% builders to apply for a serial number from the state. The NRA rep said the NRA would approve of legislation that made it legal for 80% owners to be able to serialize their firearms as long as it met and didn't pass the current federal serialization standards.

The way I recall it, he said they were fine with serializing 80% as long as they were not registered. I think it was more to the point of the previous question that was asked when recovering possibly stolen guns without serial numbers.
In any case I don’t see what he said as an issue because if I were to serialize an 80 without registering it or notifying anyone, the number I put on it would not mean anything to anyone but me.

Much respect and gratitude to all of you who devoted your time and energy to defend against this latest attack on our rights. I should have managed my work obligations to allow me to be there with you. Unfortunately I suspect I'll get another chance. In the interim, time for a contribution to MSI.

Wow! You guys are awesome. Wish I’d had the foresight to take today off, too!

I had that thought reading the comments from around 2:30am. I left way earlier than I wanted.

Sounds like I missed some good stuff with folks getting punchy in the wee hours.

wanting to get more involved in gun law fighting, short of reading thru 121 pages of posts... can someone help me figure out how all of the bills went? I assume theres a list of bills they spoke about and what the outcome of them was. maybe not, like i said... i wnat to get more involved but after reading 30 pages of posts, i'm having a hard time following what happened.

a short PM might be best... because this thread is super long.

When Odarlin1 and I were leaving for the evening I discovered a professional 2 bay shinebox in one of the buildings on the lower level I took a photo of. I need to figure out how to get it to you for future use. Thanks for the comedic relief yesterday as it made the day bearable!

    OK, you are excused.

They proposed a bunch of crap. We pushed back with logic and personal stories.

No idea of how, or even if, the committee will vote. The committee chairman can just never bring it up for a vote.

Thank you so much for your donation offer.

We are playing catch up after hustling to take our “We Will Not Comply” campaign to Annapolis yesterday.

If you would be so kind as to drop a post about wanting to donate into our WWNC thread, I can PM you back after I clear out my PMs inbox over the next day or two.

    Again, thank you!

While we wait for them to vote on these bills in committee you can still continue to light up the phones, their emails and send them letters, all of which will be effective up until the time the house committee votes

I have an Excel spreadsheet and a Word mail merge template that will send letters for you if anyone is interested in that I'd be happy to share it with you

you need to have Excel and word on your computer but it's fairly easy to pop out a letter and hit the button and have it print all the letters and another program can make the mailing labels and get those letters out without too much pain

PM me if you're interested with your email address and I can send them on with some instructions

We have a few WWNC shirts available for Wednesday, when the Senate side takes up three Gun bills starting at noon.

I'm going to try to make it, Rack. Hope there's one left in an, ahem, expansive size. Will pay, of course.
