I'm about 30 minutes deep into it now.

I'd bet anyone willing to take it $500 cash the HPRB goes totally away.

    Damn straight.

Just who do these so-called "citizens" think they are, questioning the pronouncements of the MSP? The Police know what's right for us, whether they write down their rules or make them up on the fly.

The very idea of citizens overseeing the Government's decisions is just wrong.

    Sickening really.

It was said EXACTLY that way. The State Police know what they are doing, why would anyone question their decision?

    MGA claims they are.

The Senator speaking claimed Thomas E. Dewberry gave her the information cases were sealed. Isn't he the Chief Admin Law Judge? My case in Circuit, anyone can request the transcript or have been seated in gallery (there were a couple students there). Try getting a transcript for one of these OAH handgun cases. Generally they are $10 for a recording. I've been Shine-boxed on it..

And our buddy Larry will be more than happy to sign a bill getting rid of the HPRB. He's so much better than the "other" guy.

Careful..... I've been scolded as recently as today for suggesting the "lessor of two evils" plan sucks ballz...

I'd just like to revisit all those people with the "Day One" posts and Members who actually believed it.

Isn't Larry responsible for nominating the current members who have overturned MSP at a rate we've never seen? Clearly, not a 2A advocate that we all want, but it seems like he's done some good.

    <Raises hand>

I have absolutely no issue outing myself as one of those folks, and based on what we were told, by then candidate, Hogan, he would make changes. All I can say is fool me once, shame on you (Hogan), he didn't do that again the second time around, even when he was advised how pissed off the 2A community was at him, his response was "what are they going to do, vote for someone else?"

My reply was "nope, they just won't vote the Governor line at all." The look on his face at that was priceless.

As for the lesser of two evils, he was for the major parties, but I spent some time and effort supporting Mr. Quinn. (let the lambasting begin for supporting/voting for a nonviable candidate)

While he has done some, good, he absolutely could do more, regardless of what the AG stated in a reply to a request from a Delegate (Jackass) on the matter.

Dblas, you clearly know way more than I do of the inside baseball. I've learned quite a bit in just the last couple weeks from you and others. I'm doing my best with emails, calls and donations (testimony is out of the question for me). So thanks for keeping the education going.

In Hogan's calculus of whether to run in the Republican primary, his staff should keep in mind, even for gun owners that might have supported him in this last election (I wasn't one of them), that we will make every effort to talk to folks that we know out of state about his NRA comments, about not lifting a finger to effect change on the G&S standard for may issue in this state, and the take them for granted attitude that he's had toward gun owners yet avoiding interaction with local gun rights organizations these past few years. I'm guessing he now has a worse 2A resume than Christie (will probably lock this down after the current legislative session), and he clearly lacks Christie's oratorical skills. I bet he's waiting in the wings to see if Mueller has anything damaging on Trump, but will be too much of a wimp to challenge him otherwise.

Thank you, As I have said before, I don't care what people do, so long as they do something, provided that something is not giving up.

I believe I still owe you a beer from a bet made back in 2014, with regards to actions he would take in 2015.
Could be, I'll give you a reprieve. I was just cleaning out old PMs today and was reminded how you and I got into it a little, beyond my normal light obnoxiousness apparently. Those messages were from early 2016.

Shits crazy, divide and conquer isn't even the phrase for it. Seems folks around here lately thrive on tearing each other down rather than coming together.

Hence my self imposed ban since late October, I really didn't miss it. I will probably go back on self ban once the legislative session is over, if not before.

I like to keep up with the HPRB happenings as I have a request in myself. It's generally a defeating feeling though when you really get down to the reality of things. I have been away for several months also, unfortunately I'll need to do so again.

When the previous HPRB Bill was amended to ; a de novo hearing at OAH that supercedes, at MSP's disposal, many were what the F is the point? Many speculated MSP wouldn't use OAH. Now that is no longer conjecture, who honestly is going to have their heart broken the HPRB gets removed? Why does anyone want to wait near a year for a show trial, just to get to the hearing that counts? One road trip is enough to get shine boxed, why drag it out a year plus two trips.

    'Zackly.

They were playing Chess apparently, we...... I'm not sure it matters at this point what we were doing.

So few non-democrat legislators, folks from where I'm at, we don't really deserve this shit sandwich. I'm in the middle of what might as well be Lancaster County PA. We hunt, target shoot off our back decks, run straight pipe diesel trucks towing trailers with long since dead tags and never get stopped. My truck has at least one shotgun pretty much full time for several months of the year, no one dicks around with one another, vast majority of us like to help out neighbors with projects and things.

What the actual EF is going on with the center and lower center parts of this State? Listening to that MGA recording is like nails on a chalk board. People that quite literally have NO clue about a gun, how the MSP LD operates, what it takes to actually CARRY a gun (somehow easily confused by those useless fvcks as "getting" a gun). They very plainly are writing and voting on laws that effect every resident of the State.......with almost zero knowledge on the subject matter.

    It's insanity.

That's the frustrating part. I'm becoming convinced that candidates for office should be required to pass a written examination. Part of which would cover firearms technology and current laws.
