Where to turn?

I am probably what you would call a "Fudd plus", 90% of my firearms connection is hunting. I let my NRA membership slip 10 years ago because I got tired of being hit up for money 5 times a day. As a business owner who clears and secures vacant row homes in Balt city, I was denied a CC permit.

But it is time to fight with these 3 new laws they are attempting in Annapolis.
I just now went over to the "MD state Rifle and pistol Assoc" page ready to join,, But I see no mention of these bills or the impending doom?? am I missing something or are they?

What is a good Maryland gun rights association to join, that will keep me informed and alert to rallies, etc.
I have committed to taking the time to go to the rallies, etc,, but I hear about most of them the day after

Also take the time to write your legislators registeringyour oppositionfirst and foremost and why you oppose the laws second. Then email the bill sponsors and committee chairs the same.

Have you talked to the other permit holders here in similar situations to get their input on your application?

I did apply in the mid 90's when I was kicking in row house doors every day of the week, I was told my business had to involve me carrying cash, lots of it and everyday.

I am going to Annapolis on the 25th, but in reality there is NOTHING any of us can do.

The Dems have the state geryymandered and will always have a veto proof majority.
Calling and writing is a complete waste of your time, I was active in the 90's,,, they literally laugh in your face, they are leftist and are inspired to double down on you when you push back.
With their supper majority, I don't know what took them so long, and why they are not going for more?? ($1.00 round ammo tax, registration, home safe inspections, etc).
There is a lot of talk "will not comply" etc,, but you will. We have families, jobs, savings, security clearances, etc,, we are not going to throw it all out by becoming felons,,

IMHO , The Fudds have been playing a game of i don't care about pistols or handguns because it does not affect "me" . Well here we are now they are going after rifles and long guns , where do you and other Fudds want me to stand when we have been begging for you guys to stand with us .

A leftist could care less if 99% of the population is against their agenda, they have an agenda and that is their god.
And they have packed the state with leftist voters from 3rd world countries and those dependent on government handouts.

Yes I will become active as I was in the 90's, yes I will be in Annapolis, YES they WILL pass these laws, yes you will comply, yes there is nothing we can do on a state level. The only reversal would be at the courts.

and it is now stacked much heavier than before.
I would rather see a group that is willing to push back in a different way,, not sure what that would be,, but the stacked gerrymandering has to be dismanted 1st

Let's all give up and let them bend us over a have at us then , we are perhaps the most productive & law abiding citizens that need the least of Government services and we get the short end of the stick .

Glad to read someone who feels the same way I do. I go to public meetings, to townhalls, community meetings, rallys, send emails, and make calls. The Democrats rule this state and until we have right and proper election districts (state and federal) they will always hold power - the gerrymander guarantees it!

Sounds to me like you are surrendering before the battle even begins. Why bother at all if you really feel that way?
