Our ultimate victories rest with the Courts. (DC, Illinois went Shall Issue)

Cases don't get the SCOTUS without a plaintiff somewhere. Dick Heller--a friend to many here--was just a DC homeowner wanting his rights.

MSI can't stand behind plaintiffs in a courtroom without our donations. Donate, and we can win before a civil war sets in.

Withhold your money because two friggin boxes of ammo are too precious, and civil war is a given, eventually.

Just sent in $500 to MSI today. Would anyone else like to join or top that? It's a worthy cause and as Rack says, our best hope. And a lot more important than spending your tax refund on another wide screen TV.

I read about SB 737 just now on Facebook. The two words that spill out of my mouth are "Gestopo Tactics." You Marylanders are really up against it. Backs against the wall. My heart goes out to you.

It's a fight we're going to lose. Period. Throwing money at MSI did nothing to stop the travesty that became FSA2013.

FSA2013 never had to go against a SCOTUS with Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch.

Kavanaugh clearly stated during his confirmation hearings that MSRs are "in common use".

Would it be the right of the people to threaten armed resistance or the like. Would Feds sitback or join in

A smart man never makes threats. It only serves to reveal your intentions and give the enemy advanced warning. It might also wind up with a vacation at the grey bar hotel.

I'll come out and say it.

If not for the efforts of the 2A Community & multiple Orgs, FSA13 started out 3X worse than the final version .

This is very true. MSI members were in Annapolis A LOT. Meeting with legislators, often at night after work etc. We paid for our own gas, parking etc. It would have been a LOT worse had we done nothing. As someone already said, the primary reason to donate to MSI is for lawsuits. Don't be so short-sighted that you think your donation will immediately change anything. The GA has a very heavy, veto proof (not that it matters) Democratic majority. They are not afraid of us. We NEED MSI for the court cases to follow.

How does that long rifle armed rally in Annapolis sound to you now? I told you they won't stop, they're not afraid of the gun community when they protest with stupid signs and yelling stupid slogans in small numbers.

You need a show of force. Get 70,000+ people open-carrying long rifles in Maryland. You can fill an Orioles or Ravens game with tens of thousands of people in a stadium, but can't get people to show up for their 2nd Amendment right?

We have already been down this road. How exactly do you get 70,000 people to show up armed in Annapolis?

The devil is in the details. Heck, I can do one better. Have 700,000+ people show up, 7,000,000+ people show up.

    The question is "HOW?"

Okay why don't we stop the defeatism right here. Please don't keep thinking and saying that the left-wing majority can do whatever they want. That's what they WANT you to think. It's not true. Frosh and his ilk burned a lot of political capital to get Froshy's Silliness Act of 2013 passed. A lot. And even then if it were not for the perfect storm of Newtown and O'Malley wanting to run for President that bill would not have made it. There are plenty of democrats from moderate areas who need those moderates to win both primary and general elections, and they worry about losing the middle of the road and conservative dem vote.

I'm not saying don't prepare for lawsuits. I'm just saying stop believing in the total control of the leftists and that any crazy bill they want is a done deal. That's just a ******** facade they want you to believe and they use it to demoralize and take advantage of us and make us not even bother to protest. It takes a lot to get almost any bill through, a gun ban, much more so.

    Just my .02. ;)

How does the Left do it? They organize on social media, set a date/time. Blast out the event information on social media, get people signed up, and then those people tell other people, etc.

You need to let MFers know if they don't show up whatever they have left of their 2A right will be gone! Honestly, most people don't follow legislation and have no idea these bills exist. Also get people from WV, PA, VA, DE, and NC to show up as well.

    No they do not.

They have a registry of regulated firearms. This is all handguns and what were the formerly "regulated rifles" which are now banned. MD does not have any way of knowing about "normal" long guns that you own. They will if this bill passes, but they do not now.

Yes they do. What do you think they do with the info that you "voluntarily" provided to the MSP on each and every 77r that you "voluntarily" filled out to buy your gun?

That would get you a nice long sit down with the FBI, and possibly an arrest and conviction.

Have you noticed that these crap laws are in parallel with the bills being proposed in Congress this year? Bloomberg and the Dems have taken the bit in their teeth, and they are running full speed. Their objective IS our complete destruction. :mad54:

Here's another observation - one reason that the PG contingent (at least) is not afraid is that most of them RUN UNOPPOSED. Just like in China and North Korea.

Seems like our adversaries only have their eyes on the Infringement Prize ...and not whether they are being “bullied” to show up....

Two Junior Justices. I'm not betting the farm on that hope. I'm certain their dissent will be quite moving.
