Just drop the 1918 off in my mail box... Very nice pistols.

You definitely got the best end of that deal
Upon reflection the slide may be a little later but I don't know if there's a definitive line in the sand for when they changed...
it's 1922 and C130000 according to Poyer but that's real close to yours.
It's still a great trade I think!!
Traded a 400.00 red dot and a BP rifle for this the other day
1921 Colt , it came with a US shoulder holster as well.
Here's my long time friend Kimber TLE RL II with my newer Glock 19. I posted this on Insta with the title COEXIST. :-)

I need to add a Colt 1911 to my collection. Beautiful!
During that time period there was a lot of transitioning going on parts-wise. The changes that resulted in the 1911A1 that also were incorporated into the civilian Government Models didn't all become standard until around 1926 or so. Some of the changes were initiated earlier piecemeal before there was the official change in nomenclature.
The wear on that Kimber is just beautiful. Here's my long time friend Kimber TLE RL II with my newer Glock 19. I posted this on Insta with the title COEXIST. :-)
Noticed that too. Hoping that's natural wear instead of a "distressed jeans" look for the 1911, but either way, it's very good looking. The wear on that Kimber is just beautiful.
Yeah. I've seen many worn police issue pistols. This wear looks all over too even. My 2 issued 229s showed the most wear around the front due to drawing and holstering a zillion times.Noticed that too. Well done. With the grips, the faded and worn bluing is really appealing. It's 100% au naturale.
