Active Shooter Walter Reed?

Just got text at 2:26PM today from someone at Walter Reed.
He said Active Shooter on the campus.

Anyone else hear or see anything about this?

Montgomery County police said they are responding to a report of an active shooter at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Police said they have not confirmed an active shooter.

Why would MoCo police be responding? does Base not have people there for this?

I was wondering since there were NO reports of shots fired. Maybe held the drill to PO the congressman there in the conference room. Well better safe than sorry. Think someone is going to get a spanking for not coordinating with local officials.

I just saw the first report of this I told the wife I was highly doubtful. Up until a couple of years ago I worked for 21 years at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research annex in Forest Glenn and the only facility I had visited with real security was in Bethesda. The navy guys were on the ball. Not surprised if it is was a drill. I hope that is all it is.
