It was never realistic that Quinn was going to win, and I would argue that it was never realistic that Hogan was going to lose unless some scandal emerged (which never did). So one could have not joined anti-2A Democrats that voted for Hogan (throwing support to a candidate moving the state Republican party further left) and instead joined pro-2A voters supporting Quinn.As was pointed out by some Quinn supporters, he never really got into this race. A strong 3rd party option still helps a weaker candidate win. The history of third party proves this. I liked Quinn's position on issues. But, he was DOA in this state's political climate. I realize where this state is headed and it's not pretty.
