Throw bread on me
I find myself yearning for an old school CAR15 with an 80% flash hider. Wonder how the Brownells retro rifles are. Could buy the kit and build one on a lower I already have or start to pick and find pieces.
The gangs all here.
After you get it nice and clean you could coat it with clear Duracoat, that would protect it and probably not show fingerprints.
Thanks! It’s actually just a bunch of sanding and polishing, no chrome.
Forgive all the fingerprints on it! I’ll have to get some better pictures after a quick detailing
Man , makes me want to put another build together after seeing them all. Have to get kids show me how to put pictures up. Technically challenged .
Just finished up putting 90rds through it without a hitch. 9" 300BLK built on Aero billet recievers and their 9" gen2 enhanced M-lok rail. ALG mil-spec trigger, colt internals, Radian controls, KAC tube and pistol brace, YHM flash hider and gas block, topped with an Aimpoint PRO for 6#2oz total without a mag. This is the first Aero precision receiver set and handguard I have used, was really impressed with the fit, finish and quality for a relatively inexpensive brand, will definitely build more on their stuff.
Nerd.
jealous Initially for motivation to get in better shape(see keto thread), promised myself something cool and fun for every 10# I lost, so far nice ZT or spidie pocket knives, but being I'm down 70#, well under a 25BMI, building muscle and hitting the gym 5 days a week in the morning, the "cool thing for hitting 180#" will probably be my last, so figured building a slim, light and mean 300black pistol would be an appropriate thing. And with a tear jerker story like that, hopefully the wife won't beat me up too bad for building another gun
Hmmm...i dropped 20# on keto. Logic dictates that I need that 6.5 upper...hmmmmm....now how to intercept shipment without jenni knowing...
Put a couple mags of full power loads through it, enough to determine the shockwave blade is a bit rough on the er....forearm, so snagged an SBPDW from Gander, and a MI QD Aimpoint base to ditch the giant "charging handle" knob, add a handstop to keep fingers away from the muzzle, and think it's done. The SB is far more comfortable on your er........forearm. Tested out with a lighy for probable nightstand duty.
I love that... er... support brace. I have yet to find one better.
