    I am sure you know that this wasn't random and it was directly a result of MSP monitoring our forum.

    This is the best course of action for many things;

    Now to clear the air. After arguing my point for several days, I have to admit that I was wrong. Kudos to dblas for persisting to convey the facts. On Tuesday I was contacted by a MSP Sgt. and he said they do random quality control checks on permit applications and found that I had not submitted the required training documentation and my permit would be revoked. I explained to him my point of view concerning the wording about exemptions on the MSP website and he agreed the wording is confusing but none the less we do need 8 hours training for every renewal. I would like to say that the Sgt. was very understanding and helpful and told me that when I complete the updated training and submit the documentation my permit would be reinstated. I completed the 8 hour training yesterday at Freestate and submitted.

    I really wasn't trying to be a dick, glad you got it squared away.

    And as everyone else has said, this probably came about because of this thread, because we all know that MSP reads MDS.

    No, I never took it that way. You knew you were right.

    If this much wasn't immediately obvious to him, then I've got a bridge for sale. I mean... wow.
    Not real hard to figure this was not coincidental. As far as discussing it here , well I had no problems doing that because I felt confident that I was in compliance based on what I had read. I was wrong.

    I would also like to thank Bryan Fletcher at Freestate for making time to get me in on very short notice. I did my first 8 hour renewal training with Bryan 3 years ago at AGC and he is great. He is now Director of Training at Freestate.

    x2 Bryan and crew at freestate are a solid group

    What is the wait time after the HPRB, for a permit to be issued? They overturned the MDSP and said 30 days for a letter but nothing about a permit issue.

    So they know what Heatseeker's real name is for them to go pull his paperwork? That's some Kreskin stuff right there.

    Not too hard to look through renewal that were approved over a certain period, even a street cop could do it <j/k>

    Dude, I can figure it out in minutes, MSP most assuredly knows.

    I wondered about this myself. Only thing I could figure was, because they knew what to look for from my posts they looked at all renewals or maybe even narrowed down to second renewals, from the time period I posted in post #5 of this thread. :shrug:

    Lesson learned here is that MSP not only monitors our forum but some are MDS members too. No excuses for my mistake and having to make it right and clearly I brought it on myself by discussing it, but I will refrain from making any more personal comments about carry permits or 2A issues from here on. From now on my thoughts on certain MDS forum topics will be just like my firearm......concealed.

    Unfortunately, the cat is already out of the bag with you, so it probably doesn't matter much at this point. But for those that aren't aware this is a lesson. Nothing we say here is private, nothing we say here can't be viewed by MSP, members of the GA, various liberal groups, etc. Those seeking advice on permits will have to decide if it is worth the advice to likely expose their identities to MSP and others in advance. Every scenario/incident we present here can be used to figure out who we are. I don't seek to keep my identity private here but for those that do this should serve as a wake up call. For those that doubt our government "spies" on us, again I say, wake up.

    Thanks for sharing your story brother.

    Hello MSP LD ;) I hope you guys are enjoying your day. You should spend today focusing on how career criminal Radee Labeeb Prince was able to kill numerous people yesterday despite our ridiculous and onerous handgun purchase and carry requirements. That is a much better use of your time than stalking law abiding gun owners. Question your masters, they have you focused on violating your oath to the COTUS rather than taking down actual criminals. Is this why you got into police work? We pay your salaries and we are not happy with how our money is being spent nor are we happy with the results we are getting from you and the rest of the criminal justice system.

    If MSP is monitoring the forum, you'd think they would learn how to do things properly instead of "what they feel like" any given day.
