I think this is the latest ad. I recently heard the interview with Mike Weisser, he talked about how the NRA has changed over the years and like any organization things will change. I love and buy guns because it's fun, it's my interest, and hobby. Last on the list is self defense. Its just very unlikely(extremely rare) I would need my guns for that purpose. And in this great free state of ours we don't have a self defense law so after we fight off the criminal we have to present our own case to the courts. My point is that it do seem the NRA way to recruit is the use of fear. A fear that 99 percent of us would never experience

Fear sells. Looks like they may have tied Dana's hands behind her back, at least she isn't flailing her arms around as in ones past. I don't see this video do anything but solidify a marginal base of NRA members.

The NRA has been fighting along side MSI so that we will get a self defense law or shall issue.

self defense is the only portion of the right the supreme court recognizes outside of your doorstep.

OP, do you have a fire extinguisher? Do you have a security alarm? Do you have a first aid kit?

Do you consider ads for those fear-mongering?

How about if the NRA ran an ad about the Second Amendment being a defence against tyranny? What would you write about the NRA then?

Maybe you should only watch ads from organizations for sports shooters. You'd feel more comfortable.

    I approve of this post.

I bet you are a fan of golden brown hatred and deep fried intolerance.

I think that Dana Loesch speaks the truth, I don't know of any thing that she speaks of, has not already occurred.
The first shots have already been fired by the leftist, IMHO.

No problem at all. The truth is what it is. You can expect plenty of blowback though. Leftists don't like the truth, only what fits their narrative.

NRA calls for police to maintain law and order, and clenched fist of truth.

Various Leftist groups call for everything from violent protest to assassinating cops, Republicans, and the President.

Yes, it's the NRA's, Trump's and Republicans' fault.

    Not.

The Left has been doing this to various degrees around the world for over 100 years. Does that qualify as a pattern yet?

CFA, in addition to being intolerant, are also apparently chauvinistic and xenophobic since they weren't open yesterday for me to get a chicken, egg and cheese bagel of bigotry.

I'd rather have a gun and not need a gun than not have a gun and need a gun. Cuzz Murphy... is never more than a few steps away.

There are oodles of other things that probably won't happen to us in our daily lives. Yet we still take precautions.

I love these commercials. They do what they're intended to do. Hit you the face and make you think.

I think the ad was spot on!

The commie state in which most of us reside has been on the side of the criminals for decades.

Depending on the situation, if we have to use a weapon for self defense, it may be smarter to just leave the scene and avoid all of the persecution that the state will unleash!

When loading magazines for my weapons, I usually wear gloves, and wipe each round clean before it goes in the mag unless I am at the range!

It is ridiculous to that if you use a weapon to keep yourself from becoming a victim, the state will do it's best to insure you become a victim of their relentless persecution!

Maryland sucks and the only reason I am still here is because of my children.

I'm honestly a little confused by what the ad is trying to say. Police don't need permits to carry guns or anything like that.

Are they trying to say we should support the police? Be prepared to fight an angry mob?

google is your friend, I am not.
lol. Another low post count NRA troll. I cannot tell if the point is concern-trolling the ad to bring attention to it, or actual disagreement. I found the ad a little to all-over-the-place, but I doubt I am the targeted demographic.

Also, you are 100% wrong about the underlined. Like many states, self defense and "castle doctrine" is deeply embedded in case law, inherited from English law 250 years ago. In public of course the standard is a different, you have a duty to avoid confrontations.

I think that ad should have been aired many years ago, but it has to be aired now. Whether anyone wants to think about it or not, our freedoms are at risk like never before.

Not since the Civil War has this country been so divided. We are just one incident away from a potential war of ideologies. I would much rather have my family prepared for something that may never happen than to be unprepared and not know what my family is going to do.
