DT should consider the feasibility of nominating Hillary or Barack or even Schumer to bring the nation together. Maybe give Rodney Blagodovich a pardon and nominate him if nobody else wants the position.

The top candidates include Judge Bill Pryor of the 11th Circuit, Judge Neil Gorsuch of the 10th Circuit, and Judge Thomas Hardiman of the 3d Circuit.

Although the writer who penned the above prefers Pryor or Gorsuch, from a 2A perspective, Hardiman would be a great pick. Based on Pryor's past, although there's less 2A pertinent information, his judicial leanings suggest that he would be a solid choice. Gorsuch is also getting good press among conservatives, but the nice guy descriptor that seems to follow some characterizations worries me (even if he seems more solid in his conservative thinking than someone such as Justice Kennedy).

I don't really have anything in the way of legal experience, but I'll take the job if he announces it's me. Don't worry guys, I got our backs on the 2A and 4A (search) cases.

i bet Trump picks someone off his original list of proposed people. If he's just one thing, he's been largely true to his word.

The REAL question is nuke option or not.......................

Thanks Crazy Harry, you opened the door!

I keep reading that Ds vow to filibuster. But if we can get 51 (which is possible even if one R defects), then we can just vote and be done with it.

My money is on Gorsuch. Seems like a safe but smart pick.

Could be a Bork put out first. Let the D's condemn him then Mitch goes nuclear and Pryor gets in :)

No that will be only 50 , 52 right now Sessions drops it to 51

Completely possible. Could go the other way too with Pryor being the bait appointment. Will definitely be exciting to watch.

Ah shit, I forgot that Sessions being appointed elsewhere cuts our numbers. But he hasn't been confirmed yet. What does that mean for his ability to vote? Does he officially give up his position before confirmation? This is a serious question by the way.

He hasnt voted on cabinet members yet , also his confirmation I believe is today so his replacement might not be in yet
