This is great. I am in.

    From the Washington Times

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jan/4/state-sen-houghs-campaign-raffling-off-an-ar-15-ri/

"FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A state senator from Frederick County says his re-election campaign is raffling off an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.

Republican Michael Hough (HUFF) announced the raffle in a statement Tuesday. He says the rifle complies with Maryland firearm laws. The prize includes 250 rounds of ammunition.

Hough says he’s a strong defender of what he calls “God-given” Second Amendment rights for law-abiding citizens."

    Where do we enter?

A good guy and a good cause!

    --

    Dear Friend,

My campaign is working in coordination with Hendershot Sporting Goods in Hagerstown, selling $5 raffle tickets for a chance to win a semi-automatic Eagle-15 (Division of Armalite), MD Compliant AR-15 5.56 NATO, Red Dot Optic and 250 Rounds of ammunition.

As you may know, I am a strong defender of the Second Amendment. I have consistently fought attempts to further restrict our gun rights while working to restore our God-given rights for law abiding citizens.

Tickets can be purchased by making a donation at
http://senatorhough.com/donate. Maximum purchase by any individual is $50. The last day of ticket sales is January 10, 2017. The drawing for the tickets will be Monday, January 23, 2017. You do not need to be present to win. If you have any questions, please email us at houghforsenate@gmail.com.

    So, make your donation of
$5, $10, $25, or $50 today for a chance to win this sporting rifle.

    God Bless,

Only problem with him being my representative in Annapolis is that there is no point going to lobby him about 2A issues....

    I'm liking the raffle idea.

For such intelligent people on this board this type of thinking and statements really frustrate me.

There are at least 5 good reasons you should meet and regularly communicate with your pro 2A reps.

In addition to what Shafted says, they often need help and have valuable insight into steps we can take to attain our goals.

If you don't meet with all your reps at least annually (even those like Frosh) you are contributing to your own pain.

Wbal radio talked about this. What caught my ear was ' legal in Md. but other military style rifles like this were used in several mass shootings.'
The newscasters just read the news so whomever writes the newscast is definitely anti 2A

Don't need another AR, but I'll take it if I win.

Get Engage to paint an angry Frosh on it and re-raffle it with proceeds going to MSI's litigation fund.

IIRC, AOB was with us last February on the mall and would expect him there next month also. His statement seems like his version of frustration. He came to one HPRB meeting and the next thing you know he is in almost every Patriot Picket picture Rack puts up. You can play where's Waldo finding AOB in 2A pictures.

All I can find is a generic donation page. Nowhere do I see anything saying my donation of $5.00 will enter me in a raffle.
