Since I will be Euroing him, I will be able to give his molars a good look.
    ?

If you complete the Euro mount, I sure would like to see a pic, if its not to much trouble. My son did mine for me and it is beautiful. I don't know how to do pics.:sad20:
He bought the plaque that is used on most euro mounts. I googled euro mounts and hit images to look at other ways people did theirs and picked up some real good ideas for next year. Check it out if you can. Some of the boards that people used really look good.
You have a nice rack and the euro mount will really set it off. Thanks.

If you can, Look up McKenzie Taxidermy Supply on line. That's where I get all my materials and supplies. They have a lot of great options for mountings. I made up a little aluminum mounting bracket for skulls which I don't really use anymore(I don't have room for skulls on my walls anymore :o), I just pile my Euros on top of my fireplace. I'll try and get some pics up a little later.

I'm finally catching up to my goal, only need two more. I went out this afternoon and about 10 deer came in. Took a shot and accidently jerked the trigger, i knew it as soon as i shot. I thought i missed until the smoke cleared, i ended up hitting the deer in the neck and dropped it

The other 9 deer scatterred, but 4 hung out to watch their friend die. Luckily that disctracted them While i re loaded, then BAM...# 2 got a shot behind the shoulder.

Thanks for the reply. That's some kind of NICE collection. :) The bracket to keep it away from the wall is nice. I want to get away from the fancy plaques we used this year, and use something more rustic in the future. I have gotten a lot of ideas from what I googled, and the site you gave me. Next year is right around the corner. Thanks for your time.

    Nice.
I used this mount, very strong and durable.

It's about time. I didn't know if you were going to have enough venison for the 6th annual MDS New Years Eve BBQ. I'm sure glad we'll all have enough venison to eat. BTW, what time are we all supposed to arrive? ;)

Went out last night and only saw a button buck. The guy whose property we hunt at said someone on a neighboring property was shooting that morning and sure enough, we saw turkey vultures ripping up a gut pile. Oh well, can't kill a deer sitting on the couch!

Very nice Bri, is the one on the front a buck? The head looks like one.

    Merry xmas ya'll!

I left work an hour early today and was hoping to get a shot at least a medium size doe. Well sorry but blitzen won't be making it this year he got a little blitzed on a 250gr slug. :lol2:

Supposedly he was seen by at least 3 other hunters this year and I think I may have seen him in velvet in July during crop damage. This is #21 total for me this year, and buck #4....... so looks like I'm hunting does the rest of the year.

Thanks, lets just say my friends, family, and the homeless are well fed.

Funny, I ended up hunting the same tree I killed the buck from two weeks ago. This one was shot in the same place and died within yards of where the other one did.
