So the turn out was pretty good? I was wondering if it would be dead with everyone thinking, "meh, I don't need to buy a gun right now. I've got the next four years to do that."

Although I didn't get what I originally went for, I did get some excellent deals on some other items! South Carroll Sporting Goods made me wish I had an HQL with that Colt I looked at! Hanover Armory had the best price on charging handles. I can't remember the name of the dealer that had those really cheap AR receivers but, I got a really good deal on a Magpul stock from them and I'm still drooling over that Browning lever action in .44 mag they have had at the last several shows! Saw more gen 2 Glocks than I have in quite a while. Stopped by and talked to Mopar for a little bit while I was there. Ran into several friends I know and talked shop about the AGC, CMP, competitive shooting and the election. Unfortunately, when I got home, the dogs must have ate something that didn't agree with them and I had one hell of a mess to clean up!

MSRPA offers an HQL class every month at the AGC. The cost is $30.00 for the class and range portion.

I'm exempt from the class. Just need to get livescan fingerprinting and pay the fee. Thanks anyway.
The thing that frosts me the most is paying a fee to undergo a background check, so that I can be approved to be able to pay a fee and undergo another background check, so that I can exercise a constitutional right! That is the primary reason I still do not have an HQL. Getting really tired of seeing handguns that I would like to add to my collection and not being able to do so because of such a ridiculous law! Since my wife absolutely refuses to move out of this state I'm kind of stuck!:sad20:

Visit Frederick after the gun show

I went to the show today there are a lot of AR-15's and ammo at various booths. All your typical gun show stuff is there, but once you have your fill definitely recommend visiting the local restaurants and bakeries. Frederick is a cool place if you know where to look.

    Great advice, thanks!

We rarely head up that way, and we looked, and looked.

Stumbled upon a very cool and new place in/near Mt Airy on our way back to Fort Meade. Any advice about where to check out in Frederick appreciated.

    :)

I always park in one of the garages. I like the one off East Church street.

    300BLK, very cool.

Don't bother with the customs ears, I use this diy kit I read good reviews for, bought from Amazon, they work great!

I highly recommend them, I was actually able to make two sets from all the material they send in their package designed for one set. These are the most comfortable in-ear protection I've ever used. I sometimes even use them for sleeping and often use them for when I'm on phone calls with a bone-conducting headset.

These are the ones I used, but I'm guessing some of the others are just as good. These are about $10, and if you are careful and don't have to use too much material (i.e. large ear canals) you might be able to make two sets from one package. A real value!
