Are there any banks or credit unions left that don't bundle and sell off your mortgage?

TFCU is a credit union too. And just recently began acceptation members of Berwyn Rod and Gun Club as acceptable partners to join TFCU.

there are a few, you have to seek them out. I think Bank of Glen Burnie may be one of them.

I don't think FFFCU sells them off. Last I checked, they hold a substantial member home mortgage portfolio.

Pentagon Federal Credit Union, aka PenFed, does not. Or at least didn't used to. YMMV.

My mortgage is with PenFed, and they make a point of stating that they don't ever sell the servicing rights for the mortgages they originate. Customer service has been excellent.

Who actually holds the note doesn't really matter as long as the servicer (i.e. the company you send your payments to) has good customer service and doesn't sell the servicing rights to a company that doesn't.

I also previously had a TFCU mortgage, and they remained the servicer until I paid the loan off when I sold the house. They also have excellent customer service.

I also had a previous mortgage through a commercial provider, and all I can say is never again! In the four years I owned that house, the servicing rights were sold at least 6 times. None seemed to care about customer service quality because they knew I had no control over who the servicer was. The noteholder was their customer, and I'm not sure even that entity had that much control.

Hillary Clinton's crony capitalist friend and supporter, Warren Buffett, who was on the stump with her in Nebraska a couple of weeks ago, is Wells Fargo's major shareholder. He said today that he won't talk about it until Nov. 10.

Got an email yesterday stating my account was locked and to contact them either by logging in or by phone.Googled the numbers and they seemed legit but Neither I nor anyone in the family has ever dealt with them.:tinfoil:

Either way, don't click anything in that email; log into their site directly to account if you have one.

I only have a mortgage with them; it was sold to the by my originating mortgage company, so I'm kind of screwed right now.

Wells Fargo to pay 24M is fines for improperly repossessing 413 vehicles from military members:

    http://www.military.com/daily-news/...ay-24m-improper-repossession-troops-cars.html

The Los Angeles Times | Sep 30, 2016 | reported by By Jim Puzzanghera

WASHINGTON -- The reputation of Wells Fargo & Co. took another huge blow yesterday when it agreed to pay $24.1 million for the improper repossession of cars owned by members of the military.

Wells Fargo agreed to pay $4.1 million to settle a Justice Department investigation into the repossession of 413 cars without the necessary court order from 2008 through the middle of last year in violation of a federal law designed to provide financial protections to active-duty military members. The bank also was fined $20 million by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for violations dating to 2006.
