A blond went to a farm and wanted to buy some milk to take a milk bath because she heard it was good for the skin. "You want it pasturized?" the farmer asked. "No, just up to my ****.":lol2:

I think you can still buy raw milk from the Amish in Pa. Md says it's not good for you so you can't have it.

Site says it is only available to PA residents-will the milk police arrest me if you bring it back?

It's not worth taking a chance for what may be an imaginary improvement. Nasty bacteria are often found in raw milk: Salmonella, E. coli, & Listeria.

I have a friend that works on a farm in Md....talked to him yesterday...he's bringing me a gallon next sunday...straight from the udder! And I'll get a gallon or 2 a week...cheese and butter making time! Farnhouse cheddar is first up with butter a close second. I'm giving him veggies in exchange...can't beat that!

You can get it readily in Md. It's referred to as pet milk to keep it legal. Send me a PM Eruby and I will put you in touch with a quality local source for all you your pet milk needs. ;)

We just started with our goats. we get about a half gallon a day from our 2 Nig dwarves. Soap was pretty easy, but butter is proving very difficult. We are definitely doing something wrong. Cheddar and Gouda are on the horizon within the next few months. Good luck, have fun.

I don't think you can say that here.

I tell people the same thing till I'm blue in the face but they don't want to hear me. Pasteurized milk is basically just heated up to kill any harmful bacteria or parasites in the milk. The process of pasteurization eliminated many of the food borne illnesses in the US.

Another source that does not "Ultra Pasteurize" and has non-homogenized milk available:
    Kilby Cream
    http://www.kilbycream.com/home.php

    From their FAQ page

    Do you sell raw milk?
The state of Maryland does not allow the sale of raw milk.

    Do you pasteurize your milk?
Pasteurized milk is milk that has been heated and then cooled to kill any harmful bacteria that may be present in the milk. We minimally process our pasteurized milk by using flash pasteurization so we can rapidly heat and cool the milk to retain its taste and integrity. We also offer milk called cream line, or non-homogenized milk.

    What is cream line milk?
Cream line milk has been pasteurized but has not been homogenized. Homogenization is the process of breaking up the fat particles in milk to be smaller so that they stay in suspension. By not homogenizing, this allows the cream in the milk to rise to the top and form a cream line.
