i bet our usual operatives are exhausted from the NRA gig.
I could not make the meeting tonight... and it seems that no one else made it either... so... I guess there will be no fanfare for the newly arriving member...
No way, seriously?5th person has been selected, not sure if they have been sworn in yet or if they will actually be there.
This will also be the last meeting for Courtney White. She will be resigning her position, effective July 1, 2016 for personal/family issues.
No way, seriously?
The HPRB probably wondering if a bus fell off a cliff..

Hmmmm, let's see. Homicide in the parking lot, move work location. Sounds about right. Now only if it were that easy for citizens. We all can't pack up and move if someone is killed near our job or home. Ridiculous. It was a really light turnout, only three of us in the audience, and three applicants. Mark wasn't there, hence no audio tonight. (I think at various times there were 5 MSP there. Sgt. Bonnell and one other trooper (not Lasuick, pardon my spelling) at the witness table, Lt. Rossignol and two others whose names I don't know in audience. One of them had a badge that said "Captain" on it (he was sitting right across the aisle from me) but I have no idea if it was Stachurski.)
New fifth board member was there, I think his name is Charles Allman (but don't hold me to that) and it appears he was sworn in and fully participating. Chairman also announced the impending resignation of Ms. White, he did confirm she was going to be a caregiver for an elderly family member. I think he said something about 104 years old! Good on White for doing that, and maybe good for us that she won't be on the board. Maybe the Guv's appointment staff should keep a couple of names "on deck" the way things seem to be going. Might be another 2 1/2 months before the board is back to 5 members. Chairman also announced that future meetings (beginning 12 July, the board moved it a week to get away from the day after Independence Day) will be in Crownsville, in a state building that was part of the old hospital complex. He said the new venue has a large meeting room, plus another available conference room with seats for 30 people so I guess that's the impetus for the change, having a much better available space for closed sessions. I have heard that the closed space in Reisterstown is not much more than a closet.
First hearing was for a current licensee, so closed. When they came back the chairman announced that they upheld MSP, no breakdown on the votes. Second hearing was a government attorney, in a patent office in Virginia. He also has his son living with him, son is active duty military. Cited OPM breach for both him & son, with ISIS threats for gov't employees & active military so he has a double whammy since both have the same address. Mr. Allman seemed to be supportive during board's discussion, mentioned unique situation with two members of the same household under threat as G&S. Vote went 3-1 (chair abstained) to uphold MSP. Third applicant requested closed hearing due to his work (he talked to us a little before the hearing, he is DOE security officer in Gaithersburg so I assume maybe NIST, but we didn't get that specific) so at that point we (audience) declared the evening over and departed.

Standby for Capt. Snarky to suggest Rockville again.
They should group the peasants needing hearings by location and go out west one month and do the Western Maryland folks, the Eastern Shore next month and so on.
