I recently ordered an upper TNTE and am anxiously awaiting it. Today I got bored and looked for some reviews, (which I usually do beforehand but didn't). All I see are horrendous review of people waiting 2 years for uppers.

Do any of you guys have any experience with them? Reason I ask is I am only like 3 weeks into my 6-12 week lead time, and I REALLY wanted this rifle for a few summer camping trips and hunts. I know another company has one in stock, albeit with the incorrect twist barrel...but I am willing to sacrifice that so I can have it sooner.

I'm still waiting on my 15-30 business day upper from a late day payment on 3/16/16. I'll give him the 17th and 2 days for Easter, using that he should be shipping by 5/2/16. I'll keep you posted.
He has decent feedback on gunbroker, a few bad ones but don't expect it to be shipped before the last possible day he states, at least that's what I've been reading.
    Mine was bought through gunbroker.

I'm just busting. After all the stuff I read on forums it freaked me out bigtime. Especially snipers hide. (however we all know how those guys can get about the most minute of things).

The other company has a 1/9 instead of a 1/12 and it is cheaper. Don't really care about the twist. Alot of the review I read were on the upper I received, or similar. Wondering if I should cancel my order and get the other one...

Since I havent received it yet, do you think it falls under the "cannot be returned or refunded" part?

    Returns Policy

"You may return most new, unopened items excluding uppers within 30 days of delivery with a 20% restocking fee. We will pay the return shipping costs and waive the fee if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). All cancelations of orders excluding uppers are subject to an administrative fee of 20% of the sale. Chargebacks are subject to a $50 administrative fee per occurrence. These fees will be subject to collections. Changes to an existing order for an upper are subject to a $25 fee per occurrence (i.e. changing of flash hiders, quad rails, BCG’s etc.). You may not change your upper order to a parts order without paying the 20% fee. All cancelations and returns are subject to management approval. Returns in the form of store credit only. You should expect to receive your refund within four to six weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

    Uppers are non-returnable & non-refundable."

Not sure about the return, you could email him. I'll find the email and phone number and pm it to you.

    Thank I appreciate it!

I emailed him about 4 days after I won the auction to see if he had received my info and if my order was being processed, the email I got was "yes and yes".
I think he orders the stuff after you place your order, I found some info on line that says he's probably a one man band so to speak.
I don't like the fact that my credit card was charged within a day of the order but it takes so long to ship.

Ok some updates. No communication since my call over a month ago. When I called, he seemed to think I was a different Chris, from some company who I cant remember, who must be calling alot. I refrained from saying anything, but when I called the guy was impatient, rude, and not afraid to use profanity. I was advised to "email" and not call because calling slows them down. For the record I have placed 2 calls over the course of 9 weeks. I emailed last week to see if there were any updates, because I might need to update my shipping address due to a pending trip. No response. I emailed today, and within a few minutes I had a response telling me they are no longer giving updates as it "severely delays everyones orders". So not only is there no communication unless you reach out, (and maybe at that) the only communication you get is rude, condescending, and telling you to piss off essentially. Debating on calling my credit card company now or not. I feel like these guys are scammers. I would advise everyone to NOT order ANYTHING from them.

I'd cancel and go with the chargeback too. No patience for rude assholes and no reason to wait months for an upper. That is unless some of the parts are really hard to find. Still it really isn't hard to answer an email.

Will the vendor be able to dispute? I've never done a chargeback. My worry is that I don't get the money back, and now they have my money, upper, and a big ole reason to be pissed at me.

First time that I looked into this thread. 1419 White Avenue is a residential address in so so part of Beloit (an old friend used to live blocks away from there). Perhaps one of the owners lives there? Did you get a last name?

The business address is listed in a different small Wisconsin city, Darien.

Their Better Business Bureau has a bunch of complaints of slow order fulfillment ...

And this story doesn't provide comfort either ...

All more reasons why I am antsy. I am usually very thorough, but failed to do my research in this case. I have myself to blame. Im just worried about contacting the bank and being refused a refund, so then the guy has my money, and is pissed...who knows if ill ever see my upper.

Wonder if this is the same Top Notch outfit that used to make HK parts, and had another company that made so-so MP5 clones back in the late 90's and early 2000's. Sounds like the same M.O.

I did finally get mine, it was shipped on the 29th business day of a stated 15-30 business days ship time. When I asked about the parts he used I got a real short answer, Delton A2 upper and a DPMS barrel, both of which when I checked were in stock at both companies. Long story is I should have done my erase arch a little better also, I could have had the parts at my door and built in around 1 week. I'll know better next time.
Good luck on you're quest Dr. Jones, hopefully you can post pictures soon.

Yes he can dispute it. But unless he has a tracking number going to your address showing it has already shipped. Then he doesn't have a chance with the CC company. If it were me I'd call the CC company and dispute it . A lesson learned and go with a different company like Precision Firearms or some one closer to you.

I would email them and tell them if you don't get a tracking number by the end of this week you would like a refund. When they ignore that I'd call my CC company on Monday. I'd at least give them the chance to refund or provide shipping info.
