I've been buying from PSA (Palmetto State Armory) off and on over last several years and tried buying ammo from them recently due to a great sale they had going.

Because I live in Montgomery County, they refused the order!?!? I knew MontCo tried passing a law against online ammo sales but saw that it was thrown out.

I called PSA informing them of this and got escalated up to a supervisor who apologized but said the owner of PSA issued orders not to deal with MD in general on anything remotely controversial, which includes firearms!

What I got out of the conversation is that the owner of PSA isn't interested in doing business with MD even if they're complying with MD law.

    What is it with them?

Their business, their choice. Some just don't want to deal with any kind of hassle, including having one of their employees make a mistake. So the lowest common denominator is a blanket rule.

We've been grumblin' 'bout Palmetto State fer years. They suck monkey nuts, and always will.

I don't plan on buyin' diddly squat from 'em when I do move to a free state.

I've heard about issues with PSA but I've never had a problem with them. I have a lower build kit from them that just came in.

How is it PSA's fault when your county has a law that bans ammunition sales, I understand that state law pre-empts the local law. Dont blame PSA for seeing that there is a law and doing their best to follow it. Considering others have spoken with them and issued complaints to them, I would wager they had a lawyer look at it who said to obey the county law. Try getting the numbnuts to repeal the meaningless law instead of being po'd about a business who doesnt want to get shut down so they follow the law they see on the books. Its the same problem with Annapolis.

There exists no ban. That is all.

Does the county still have the law listed on their books? If so then it still exists, whether enforceable or not. There in lies your problem. Focus your anger at the right place. Go get it removed.

The law was overturned under State preemption, but PSA can't be bothered to "risk" sales where unconstitutional laws are still on the books I guess.

I understand the law was over turned in MD vs Atlantic. The point is that the law still exists on the books. Again turn your frustration at the correct source, IE MoCo legislative body, not PSA. Go point out that the law was overturned and should be removed. Go to one their meetings and request it. Stop bitching about it on the internet.

Plan D? Not worth the hassle.

It exists because it is enforcable. This tread is proof of that.. they will never remove it if it can intimidate vendors into compliance.

One posible option is to use PSA refusal to ship as standing to sue in federal court.. but its not cost effective.

Maybe someday a justice department will intervene under some federal issue like unlawfully obstructing interstate cometer cert.

Meanwhile it is legitimate to vote with your remaining $$.

    And inform others..

It is not likely that PSA will get any more coin from me... esp if there are alternatives.

Palmetto State Armory isn't all that great. I say that having bought a bunch of stuff from them. Too many quality issues.
