Lists. It always starts with lists. Then it becomes searchable databases...

Maybe we need a database of people who have STDs. So, you know, you won't accidentally have sex with them. Or your children won't.

And smokers. Sure, tobacco is legal but I have right to know if my neighbor smokes. My lungs trump his privacy. And now that I'm thinking about it, drinkers of strong spirits- they should be registered and put on list too.

Maybe a database of people with mental illness. I'm mean, my neighbor might be depressed or have some disease I can't spell and I should stay away so I don't catch brain cooties. Crazy people should have to wear armbands and be bar-coded.

And Jews. We need a way of knowing if our neighbors might be Jews. For our own safety...

I sent her a nice message. All of those law abiding citizens with guns rioting and looting during the Baltimore uprising and burning down local businesses and pharmacies.

Meanwhile the criminals, thugs, punks remained at home and watched everything unfolding on tv.

People like this fool are dangerous..... Until they become a victim of sexual assault or rape, then they sing a different tune, if they are fortunate enough to live.

This woman needs help for her paranoia. How does she manage to go about her day when worrying about all the guns that are in people's homes?!

She goes on and on about "needing to know" if there is a gun in the home before sending her kids there....well how about you just ask them? I couldn't imagine being married to this woman.

Great, she's practically advocating confiscation. First we start with a database...for the children, of course. Just so everyone can "feel safe". You mean so the criminals know where the good stuff is. And yes, there were a few burglaries from publishing that gun owner list. But of course that won't matter to her. Details, details.

Is it Slap A Hippy Day yet? She needs one badly.

    My reply to her:
    QUOTE:

    Subject: Overkill/No pun intended

Firearms.........""whose only purpose is to injure or kill, whether in self defense or otherwise.""

You obviously are not aware of Olympic Shooting Competition, or the annual Nationwide Shooting matches held at Camp Perry, Ohio, or the thousands (maybe millions) of Statewide shooting competitions.
Believe it or not there are thousands of firearm owners who are engaged in weekly Range competitions, along with the CMP (Civilian Marksman
Program) underwritten by the federal Government. Not wishing to "cherry-pick" your article, but you did go a bit overboard with the above quoted sentence in your article. In case you may wonder, I'm 76, a Veteran of the Vietnam era, a father and grandfather who served my Country and proud of it. We need more Patriots, and less whiners.

"I know how to stay out of the line of Baltimore's illegal gunfire; I have the luxury of being white and middle class in a largely segregated city that reserves most of its shootings for poor, black neighborhoods overtaken by "the game."

She should head into the hood and see how well her white privilege protects her. I'm sure no one will discriminate.

I liked the comment about having a database of people who do not have guns. She can put her name on that list, and so can her liberal buddies. They they can search that database when selecting a play date.

Most of the comments following the article make way more sense than the actual article.

Your wrong, her kind would feel sorry for the perp that raped her because of her white middle class priv. She would beg the judge to set the perp free and help pay to protect the perp from his own environment using someone else s money Her kind is whats killing this country.

If they told the truth bet we wouldn't find many of our anti2A Delegates and Senators on the list. :sad20:

I wonder what THIS little gem was supposes to mean...

But I don't know where the legal gun owners are or how to ensure that their children, no matter how well versed in respecting firearms, won't one day introduce that weapon to my daughter.

    Never mind. I don't care.

Libtards like this sanctimonious, overprivileged, dictatorial little twat are why I hold such contempt for the general population of Maryland.:mad54:

She threw out the self-loathing "white privilege" talking point pretty quickly, which subsequently negated anything else she has to say.

People seem to think that using that term excuses any retarded, misguided, ignorant viewpoint because they are somehow so much more enlightened than the unwashed masses who are blinded by their own privilege.
