... and if the USA unprovoked invaded Italy, where would your allegiance be?

Previous post was correct, there is no comparison. My Great Uncle emigrated from Germany and served in WWII for USA. No one had to guess who the aggressors were. I'm not Jewish, but I'd side with Israel easily looking at the mess over there that surrounds them.

With the USA. I think we should take over the world. No more worries about foreign policy and we could concentrate entirely on domestic affairs.

As far as Israel and what surrounds them is concerned, I can see why what surrounds them has an issue with them and with us. Hard not to be pissed at the US when US trained fighter pilots have been dropping US ordinance on your for decades. The issue over there goes back almost a century, if not a century. The British (i.e., white man) took over the lands and gave it to the Jews (i.e., more white men).

History is told by the winners. Bet history would be told a lot differently about 2 atomic bombs on Japan and the fire bombing of Dresden if the Axis powers won the war.

According to this, the Jews were the terrorists to begin with. This conflict is as old, if not older, than my parents. There is still disagreement about what happened to our ship, the USS Liberty back in 1967, which was also before I was born.

Israel has nothing to do with this thread. But know who is organizing to try to disarm you and your fellow Marylanders:

Look who is trying to preserve your 2A rights, regardless of race, creed or religion. Same Anti-gun rally, same courthouse steps.

The point is some have controlling, restrictive Utopian ideas and some don't. Pick your side.

    Juuuuust over the line
Tailoring it for each event starts to drive up expenses and make the pamphlet a one trick pony for that event only, and thus less able to be used for other events.

How about something like a 3x5 card size with a few quick bullet points tailored to the event that could then be stapled, paper clipped, or even tucked inside the "Nutshell" brochure for handout? Probably would only need a few (10's) of copies for any one event, shouldn't be terribly hard to do, and no need to modify the "standard" handout.

A lot of good ideas floating around but do we (MDS) or MSI have a point man for this pamphlet? I know we are on the cusp of Christmas but this needs to grow some legs if we want it to ready for Jan 7th. I may be able to put this together if I had help with research. It needs to be a group effort in order for it to be ready in time.

    OK...

Since I brought it up (and expected to be assigned it ;)), here's what I can do...

I'll start a thread in the MSI area here, and I'll take the top 6 or 8 "myths" and come up with a refutation for each over the weekend.

I had some other things I was thinking of doing, but that's OK... this is more important. Except for hockey. :D

Sounds good I will do what I can as far as research for factual numbers and sites to back them up.

I nominate the 32,000 "gun deaths" per year, which I believe Hillary is using recently, widely being called gun violence. 60% are suicide. http://usconservatives.about.com/od...tting-Gun-Death-Statistics-In-Perspective.htm

Maybe look up CDC or FBI as data source?

1 more nomination. I guess the myth is that we don't have problems bigger that firearms. Truth: more-people-killed-with-hammers-and-clubs-each-year-than-with-rifles:

The thread is up... go ahead and pop this in over there. Thanks.

I'm not going to search all over the site for this stuff.

The other problem with that number is the FBI only tracks gun-related homicide deaths. They make no distinction between suicide (as you mentioned) nor lawful self defense, or police related shootings. Nor negligent shootings when the parents fail to secure the firearms from a child.

All deaths are bad, but not all are undeserved.

Plan D? Not worth the hassle.
Be a good question to ask.. Was mentioned at this rally, lot of older women. I wouldn't suspect many there for the cause were gun owners. Two my direct neighbors profess they own no gun and would never consider it. Both with no children, so that's not even a reason.

As a Jew I need to be candid.. I call these folks decoy targets.

It would be immoral for me to ask them to draw fire away from me...but they volunteered.

Outnumbered surrounded...truth is we need decoys..

So while I will help those that clue in...I will loose no sleep over those who choose to draw fire away from.me of there own free folly.

CDC has Suicide and accidental death numbers.

nor lawful self defense, or police related shootings.

FBI has a table for Justifiable Homicides, Table 14: https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/u...icide_by_weapon_law_enforcement_2009-2013.xls

Nor negligent shootings when the parents fail to secure the firearms from a child.

All deaths are bad, but not all are undeserved.

As mentioned above negligent (CDC qualifies them as accidental) are in CDC yearly data.

Darwin predicts the death of fools. Such death aids the survival of the group via removal of such fools, and also by allowing non fools to buy time for escape.

That Jews, as victims of predation, should adopt such subterfuge as part of a mutipronged survival adaptation of benefit to the group but not necessarily the individual is not surprising.

It would be surprising were it not so.. Such is the Darwinian view.

Me, I just think they are morons.

I'm a little distressed to read this.

If Jews are "white men" so are Arabs. They are all Semitic. This isn't a racial issue.

The British were there because the Ottoman Turks fought on the side of Germany in WWI, and they lost. The Jews hold the land because they fought for it, and continue to do so. This has been accepted as fair ever since the invention of the stone axe. Get over it.

If it weren't for the two atomic bombs, many of out fathers and grandfathers would not have survived to reproduce. It's not my call to determine whether that's a good thing, but of course I have a personal viewpoint about it.

This conflict is older than a century, and has gone on, and off, and on again for some 1500 years.
